Today I have seen about 25 mobile homes headed to points South coming straight from a manufactured home factory. These toters (trucks they haul mobile homes with) had the name of the companies that leased them, however, on the front of them, where it normally says "Wide Load"...the banner instead said "FEMA". I wonder why...with a glut of reposessed mobile homes on the market, why they contracted for new ones. It would seem smarter financially and environmentally to refurbish the repo's to like new condition (which isn't difficult) and take them off the hands of the banks instead of letting them sit in fields and rot? Why not attempt to serve more than one purpose? I guess it would be interesting to see what political affiliations that Clayton, Champion and Fleetwood have?
