DU Investors ... Have we seen the bottom of this Q4 slump yet ?
Its been a painful two weeks, but I can't help but think this "correction" is almost over. Your thoughts ?

1. It Depends on Whether We're Entering Another Recession
If the economy is bouncing back, October may be the low point for awhile. It often is. But with home prices falling and consumer spending being crimped by oil prices, GDP may be softening.

Personally, I was short the market (USPIX) until selling Friday and Monday -- a little early as it turned out. Bought some QQQQ yesterday afternoon and have a small profit (catching the falling was a real exercise in fortitude). The outcome was partly luck. When the NASDAQ retraces to the 13-day average, I plan to go short again unless something comes along to change that.

3. No way. Inflation is about to hammer the economy
No recovery for economy for a long time to come. Interest rates will have to rise to keep inflation in check... when they do, savings account rates will compete more with the markets.
