Crossfire: Who was the Democrat on there?
He was being critical of Dean's remarks about Saddam's sons, when they were killed. I don't remember what Dean said, but it could not have been that bad.

What did he mean? I think Dean was speaking of the bodies being displayed.

What was this guy's name? I only caught a second before Arnold.

1. Dean said...
Dean said a few months back when he was questioned about the deaths of Uday and Qusay, "I suppose that it was good"

3. No, that's not true
It wasn't about the sons. I don't know that he was asked about them at all.

He was asked re the war, "But wasn't getting rid of Saddam worth it?"

His response was, "I suppose it was a good thing..." and went on with a lot more to say about the war in general.

I agree with him, tho would take it a step further: I'm not at all sure it WAS a good thing, and it certainly didn't justify this war. Nor was the war sold on the basis of getting rid of Saddam.

9. Yeah, we need to get rid of this "Getting rid of Saddam was good'" thing
Otherwise, Dean will be painted as "the man who would have left Saddam in power".

And Clark.

We can't have that.

Also, and this is the biggest reason but the one that the "sheeple" won't get -- is that the sanctions were working, Saddam wasn't a threat, and thousands of people would still be alive, including hundreds of American soldiers, if Saddam had been left to rot in Iraq

2. I don't know, but I was impressed that he said something about Halliburton
Bow-tie boy tried to shut him up by suggesting that he was crazy, but the democrat kept going on about how the "Leave all children behind act" was missing $6 billion in funding, and Halliburton was getting that $6 billion.

Don't know his name, though. They cut away to go to the Groper news conference.

4. The Democrat was Peter Finn
He's very good at kicking butt, he doesn't back down when they go on the attack.

6. Fenn has said previously that the prospect of Dean getting the nom..
makes him very nervous. He answered honestly when asked.

I guess that automatically makes him a DLC whore right?

Fenn is reguarded as one of, if not, the, best strategists in Washington.

10. Did I say he was a DLC whore? No, I did not.
I happen to agree with Dean's stance on the war, totally. I am tired of the tired phrases of Saddam was a bad guy, we are better off.....and all that.

I was not being defensive in the question, but now I am. If this Finn guy approves of the war, than I don't approve of him.

7. The Democrat on Crossfire
The democrat of Crossfire did well on Haliburton for sure. Bow tie boy did criticize Dean on the death of Sadaam's sons. Dem countered with something innocuous. I agree with Dean on that. There was no reason to take that kind of military action against 4 people. I am sure Georgie Porgie did not want them taken alive; they undoubtedly know too much about Rummy and both Bushes. How manly to kill the 14 year old son too. I'd be really proud of that/not. And how crass to display the bodies for the world press. We have to get rid of Bush. My counmtry embarrasses me on a daily basis now.

11. Begala and Carville have been winning the argument
For about 4 or 5 months now. Tucker is nothing more than a childish actor with a talent for saying ridiculous things.

And what can we say about Novak?
