The Right's claim that the MSM were accusing our soldiers of being stupid
rather then them being coached or even Bush being coached ahead of time.

I came upon this site and read it and, to be totally honest, about choked to death on my drink.

I read this BS and I am amazed at how they can turn any and everything away from Bush. They claim the questions were gone over with the troops because the MSM believe our troops are too stupid to answer these questions!!!!! HUH????

Prepare to be amazed of the stupidity of the Right as well as how they can take something that you saw with your own eyes and heard with your own ears; however, this lady was practicing with the troops because they were all so nervous. Then with the news coming out that Bush and the troops were coached, the leftist MSM were calling our troops stupid by reporting this. Well, the "leftist" MSM believe our troops are too stupid (is how they put it).

Bush is the one who is too stupid to be able to keep his train of thought before he finishes an answer. Judge for yourself.

I kid you not!!!

http://newsbusters.org/node/2177 (snip) "MSNBC and the White House Press corps apparently believe our soldiers are too stupid to (a) think for themselves and ask intelligent questions of the president, and (b) tell the truth (the truth the biased, liberal mainstream media isn't telling us) about the current situation on the ground in Iraq. (end)

And there is more . . .

http://newsbusters.org/node/2192 (snip)Mitchell: "But the White House claimed only hours earlier that it would be unscripted. Later, White House spokesman Scott McClellan told NBC News he didn't know the extent of the coaching and didn't see the rehearsal. Still, the White House and at least one of the soldiers says the troops weren't told what to say, just what the President would ask. This isn't the first time this administration used troops to help sell the Iraq war

1. Some were Idaho troops
Idaho voted 70% for W. If W had asked them to lay on their swords, they would have done so. We're not talking about thinking troops here.

2. Stop teh stereotypes
they are in the sand box, they were ordered to mandatory fun time, and they were used... they were victimized.

Oh and you obviously don't know enough troops... I do... overall they hate bush.

6. Are you being serious or putting a little sarcasm in? Seriously,
I'm not trying to debate anything but do you seriously think they would all die for that dweeb?

9. Not only that, but on local news
It was completely whitwashed and they called it "practicing." Maybe a 2 minute blurb. They are the troop that's being released early during thanksgiving. At least that was my impression of the three minute portion. ABC local news.

3. They can't turn everything away from Bush, they can only try.
And trying is about all they have left.

4. That seems to be the official desparate spin on this..
at the press conference, Scotty's immediate response was to ask the reporters who questioned him abt the undressed rehearsal if they thought the soldiersrs were not capable of thinking for themselves or some nonsense like that.

10. They were saying it during the time of the Lewinski scandal that the
media hardly reported on. Plus, when Clinton got impeached, the liberally, biased media hardly said anything about that either. :sarcasm:

7. Uh...
...the "left wing" media wasn't responsible for coaching the troops. Bush's people were doing that. So who thought the troops were "stupid"? Not the media!

12. Exactly. But I think what they were trying to say (God help me here) . .
was that by reporting her coaching the soldiers, the media was putting it out there that the military wasn't bright enough to answer a few questions from Dumbya.

But now that I think about what you said, you're right. That little twist of theirs doesn't make sense.

11. I was listening to this story on NPR yesterday afternoon....
They played audio clips of the coaching and the rehearsal, and I heard the woman who was doing the coaching specifically say that if a soldier went off-topic and did not stick to the rehearsed questions, then the next soldier in line was to take the microphone away. Otherwise, the soldier speaking could hang onto the mic.

14. So, right wing, if they are being coached on questions, then why?
So, ok, they aren't stupid. We never said they were, I belive you (the right wing) said that.

So, then, why is there the need for coaching? Care to elaborate?

15. WOW! I didn't realize DU had THAT much influence!
"Also, in the second article, the author states the MSM gets its information from DU and dailykoz's leftist "Whackos" with all the left's conspiracy theories."
