Rove's testifying now
http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20051014/pl_nm/bush_leak_dc

<snip>
WASHINGTON (Reuters) -
President George W. Bush's top political adviser, Karl Rove, appeared before a federal grand jury on Friday for a fourth and most likely last time as prosecutors neared a decision on whether to bring indictments over leaking a covert
CIA operative's name.

Rove, the most powerful and controversial political strategist in Washington, made no comment as he entered the federal courthouse to begin his testimony, hoping to convince grand jurors that he did nothing illegal.

5. I heard this morning that he's still using the "I didn't know Plame was
an undercover CIA agent" LIE. I hope he's tried for TREASON and spend his life in jail...or gets the death penalty. If anyone ever deserved the death penalty, it is KKKRove and this entire regime.

7. Who do you think he's going to point the finger at?
Standard Rove to point the finger at someone else and claim NO responsibility whatsoever.

I still have John Bolton's name gnawing at me as being involved and possibly the ORIGINAL source of the leak. Wouldn't it be ironic if those papers denied the committee on his requests for the names of deep cover agents revealed operations involving Valerie (Plame) Wilson of Brewster Jennings???

8. Can you imagine how much he will sweat?
His 35 years of dirty tricks and criminal actions and now the
chickens are coming home to roost.

I bet ya he will drench his undershirt, shirt, and coat.

Little cockroach should be indicted and led away just
as he gets back to the White House ...... Treason.

Plame was working to keep us all safe from WMDs

12. I will claim ignorance here...
...but why is it that we got to see Clinton's tortured testimony with the grand jury, but we don't get to see Rove? Somebody 'splain it to me.

14. there most certainly is a grand jury stenographer
The testimony of witnesses is recorded by a stenographer, and the transcripts can be used at trial should the GJ hand down an indictment. Grand jury stenographers are forbidden to discuss anything that happened during testimony before the GJ unless ordered to do so.

Without a GJ stenographer to record testimony, how would one go about proving that someone committed perjury during their GJ testimony without a transcript to use as evidence at trial?
