Brian Lamb Begs For Repugnican Callers...
What if they threw Fascist Friday and none of the fascists showed up?

The topic this morning was excerpts from an Andy Card interview along with news headlines. He opened the phones and right off the bat there were negative boooosh callers, even on the Repugnican lines. We're starting to hear the reverse of the "I used to be a Democrat"...it's now evolving into "I supported preznit boooosh until..." Seems the immigration issue had several people's buttons pushed.

This morning Brian had to admit that there weren't enough "pro-booosh" calls coming in...that the GOOP lines had gone dry. Hmmm...now you mean the usual RNC talking-point ditto heads didn't get their blast faxes?

Seems like Brian's not a happy camper this morning...

11. Don't worry, Grover can handle talking points.
There may not be as many callers, but those who call make up for the non-callers in desperation and animation.

What is it about older ladies and young guys? George and the right wing seem to get most of their support from these two segments - guessing on their age based on what they say and the sound of their voices. Perhaps it's because the older ladies can stay at home and the younger guys have computer jobs. Or maybe their job is to call in. How much would that pay?

13. Office Pool At The RNC
I can see them hanging outside Kenny Mehlmann's office making up towns to call in from. I wouldn't be surprised if Brian has it set up on a direct line, either.

6. This Is Talking Point City
Nope...most, if they're awake and sober...are watching SportCenter and Faux.

C-Span is the ultimate Spin Zone. This is part of the spin game that runs all day...the way the RNC and it's goons can influence and affect the "24/7 news cycle". This show is where the first talking points pop out and trial balooned...moving on to hate radio shows like Rushbo and Hannity and by evening onto Faux and into the right wing echo chamber.

Consider this a heads-up to the political junkies...and most morning there are plenty of spinners on those lines with Brian, Peter and others happy to let them get the lies and distortions out while cutting off Democratic callers.

5. They're definitely laying low.
And who could blame them for that? If I were a Republican I would have already dug a hole, crawled into it, and pulled the dirt in after myself.

Good to see you again, 'Bones!:pals:

15. It Used To Be Amusing In Those Days
I didn't know Brian was in Ford's administration, but I know of his background in political communications (for the RNC) and how he set up C-SPAN to help his corporate buddies in the large cable corporations win franchise agreements that made them all very rich.

I wasn't aware of Susan's relationship...and she's one of the more moderate on there.

I think it's Peter that served on the House Press Gallery (or it might have been Senate...I need coffee) that gave it's blessings for press credentials for Jeffy Gannon/Guckert.

I'd have never started watching it. Even Brian wasn't always so blatant -- and now he can't GET Republicans to call in! Payback!

Nice to see you, too, GG! :pals:

9. So, who can criticize Bush?
If you didn't vote for him, you're a bitter "Bush basher" who "can't get over it." If you did vote for him, it's scolding time.

Maybe if you didn't vote at all?

10. Keep watching and soon you will hear a pitiful whining woman
from Blairsville, GA call. She can hardly bear to watch anymore and must frequently change the channel 'cause so many people don't have much of anything good to say about her bushie** anymore. Poor thing. I believe she stated that she gets headaches, too. Awww, BC powders will take care of that.

16. There's this one repuke woman that calls all the time
and finally a couple of days ago, she was told that she violated their 30 day policy. She has a reaspy voice, almost sounds like she is horase or something. Once she called in lying that she has some disease or something (topic was stem cell research) and the congressman that was the guest really got fooled by her. He wanted to cry. I am so glad cspan finally got hip to her.
