The 44-year-old singer, who was diagnosed over a year ago, is now cancer-free.

Melissa Etheridge says she smoked medicinal marijuana to help with the side effects of chemotherapy during her treatment for breast cancer."

My Dad died of cancer two years ago and prior to his death he was up to 17 pills a day.

I hope she starts pounding the pavement on that subject. If it works, no moralizing bastard should be able to prevent a cancer sufferer from using it because of their "beliefs."

3. Clarification
I think the marijuana she smoked was a substitute for the drugs to help with nausea during chemo, not used in place of chemo, itself. The last paragraph says it, but the first confused me.

If only...
