For a genius, Karl Rove talks too damned much.
Growing up, I learned that those who are intelligent tend not to have anything to say until the appropriate time to say it. If one truly is intelligent, one need not say anything to prove it. They simply ARE intelligent.

I don't see that in Karl Rove. I see a man who talks too much. He flaps his lips and holds nothing back. Even his most puerile thoughts.

Watch him in this CNN video "Rove Under Pressure" as he addresses reporters standing outside of his house and later as he yacks on his cell phone:

http://www.cnn.com/video/player/player.html?section=/politics

He talks too much. He overcompensates for a lack of intellect in that noggin' with spilling too many words, because in his mind, words intimidate.

It is no wonder, then, that his mouth has gotten him in trouble. I've never seen a purer narcissist. Yet there he is, hot air and all.

Yeah, Tweety does give The Rove a lot of credit…
…but a genius, at least in my limited experience, doesn't go BACK to pay a call on a grand jury for a fourth time. JMO!

5. He's not a genius.
He's nothing but a con artist who sold half the nation a defective product.

6. No genius--but a rare bird
Look, the Rover is a narcissist. The primary thing to look for is a pattern of grandiosity--and it's associated with lack of empathy. So let's see, now, vanquish the dems and turn the ruling class into a pleasure dome for neocons--yes, I think you would get most people to agree that is grandiose. Lack of empathey--as in only the rich need benefit from any government action. And we will use torture. Narcissists think they are important and special and have a sense of entitlement. This will come into play if he's indicted.

We could go on with our analysis of Rover as a narcissist--I think he is compensating for the the P*llsbury D*ughboy look and the inability to complete his college education.

7. When your party controls all branches of government you tend to get
careless. Unfortunately their carelessness is unhealthy for a lot of people. And people are getting fed up.

my 2 cents ...a smart man in the right place at the right time with a dark side... but not a genius. He started out doing direct mail and database stuff from what I remember from reading his resume. Databases where just coming into their own. He rode the bear.

"Riding the bear" is a Robert Cringely reference to what Bill Gates and Paul Allen did with IBM in establishing Microsoft.
