My New Response To The Freepers And Bushbots That Cross My Path...
Edited on Fri Oct-14-05 09:58 PM by DistressedAmerican

Just laugh like hell. Laugh like hell right in their deluded faces for a while. Then inquire, "You still support THAT guy???" Then just walk away still laughing hard. Never hurts to shake your head in utter disbelief.

Keep him asshats! He's all yours!

1. My favorite line has become.....
"I need to see if I can find you some help. Less than 35% of the country agrees with you. You are delirious."

4. Not entirely true...
It would depend, of course, on what policy was in question.

In which case you could easily get away with saying "less that 49% of the country agrees with you. You are just stupid."

The thing is; There are a number of real 'neo-cons' that understand what's going on and they aren't stupid... they just haven't realized (or allowed themselves to realize) how utterly incompetent this administration is.

12. Might I humbly suggest that you substitute "delusional" for
"delirious?" I think it conveys your meaning a little more accurately, in that a state of delirium may or may not have a delusional component.

2. An indymedia friend asked how vocal my Bushbot coworker is being
I told him he hadn't said a word about W in two weeks. He sarcastically said "I wonder why". It won't be long before anyone admits voting for the idiot.

6. Thats already happened whee I work....
I can remember arguing with many of them last fall just before the election. They could not believe that I was actually going to vote for as they put it "Ass Hole Kerry".

Now the same person that told me this last fall has flat out denied ever saying that to me, and have also denied voting for Bush!

Repugs are ALL lier's!

8. I think a lot of good people thought Bush was the way to go
and have now seen he was not. Now they are embarrassed totally. This coworker tried to chew me out for the Dixie Chicks remarks in England. I'm enjoying every minute of his silence on politics.

3. that's what I do too. Give them a quizzical look like I didn't quite hear
what they said, then dawning comprehension, then gales of laughter

5. Or say to them " You are being sarcastic aren't you
when you say what a great job he has done as President".

7. I'm getting nasty with the horrible things I am thinking of saying to them
lately. I find myself constanly thinking of the sick phrase, "Have you hugged a suicide bomber today?" I want to say that to them so bad.

9. If it helps, they are feeling the guilt of W's Iraq war
Not one of them even mentions it. It's like it doesn't exist.

10. that's about it
No one admitted to voting for Nixon, that last year. Now is the time to present uniform Dem talking points to the newly disenchanted. It's coming.

11. Nominated. This is the key point at this time. The Viet Nam
debacle WAS STOPPED because of people like you, DA, speaking truth to power. I was a teenager but I saw WHAT WAS POSSIBLE.

Our Congress critters won't do this. We will.

Let's do it (Birds do it, bees do it . . .

:hi:

13. I take the compassionate approach, with some humor.
I listen and I shake my head with a smile I reserve for people who tell me they really aren't alcholics when even if I care, it isn't my place to tell them what they have to figure it out for themselves.

I provide facts, something most freepers don't have much time to examine what with all those koolaid parties and such.

I question if their stance holds up with the evidence that they have been lied to and ask them even if they support the pRes, don't they deserve to make up their own minds from the facts presented and not have the facts prechewed for them?

I laugh at the crazy stuff, not the people, but then if a person freeps on me, I'm pretty tough. I don't start things, but I will rip apart a position and challange someone to be a better person. A lot of repugs I know do believe in God and so I challange the things that Bush does in light of what Christ said and did.

For me, this is a relief. These people would never listen before. Now there is real political debate going on. I've also noticed that quiet people are speaking up and talking about things that matter to them because I'm vocal with my group and we go back and forth. Ribbing, but not ripping too bad.
