19. Kerry
"they can't even find the leaker in the White House."

Good for Kerry! This is the worst debate format I've ever seen. Judy needs to shutup and let them talk. Are they so afraid somebody might say something bad about Bush that they have to control the debate so tightly?

25. He is correct
But alot of DUers just want to pander to swing voters. I see threads saying that Clark is the only one that can pick up the military vote. Or Clark is the only one who can win Southern States that is why we need him. Clark is a former general therefore he is the only one who can be viewed as strong on national security, etc.

More swing voters watching, so he's got to let them hear the stump stuff.

59. Walking On Egg Shells
I think she feels she has to play "opposition" or devil's advocate for the candidates. I don't mind that at all...gets them off balance...not a bad thing. Are you expecting softballs? I sure don't want them.

I do object to pontificating, which Greenfield is putting on an award winning performance.

Also Woodruff is doing pretty well moderating. I've been able to hear from all the candidates (I don't care who talks for or last), and to keep the debate on schedule and focused. Also she's doing us a favor by trying to get these candidates off their message...again, I'm looking to see how "real" a candidate vs. scripted. The jury's still out here on whose doing that.

that he would go to the UN and get rid of US control of infrastructure, oil, government to get UN troops in and be able to get as many of our troops as possible out. He wasn't allowed time to say this but hopefully will in another round.

He also said this time, and always, that funding has to come from reversing the tax cuts.

82. I'm ready for Kucinich, Edwards, Braun, LIEberman & Sharpton
to drop out.

Flame away, but I want to hear what the ones who realistically might be in office are thinking so I can make up my mind.

Sharpton will be missed, but it's not that long before the primary - we need to hash these things out.

As for the comment that this is a debate so it's OK for them to act like spatting schoolkids, I disagree. It's OK to challenge each other, but not if it turns into a verbal brawl, nor if THE MESSAGE OF BUSH AS THE PROBLEM IS NOT GETTING OUT. At this point, it's been quite a while since I've heard Bush bashing from the candidates, and that's not good.

54. John Kerry will never be elected president
Anyone who listens to some of his answers, which are heavily weighed down by Washington jargon and entirely devoid of passion and clarity, will understand that this can simply cannot connect with the American public.

He's also just had a Michael Dukakis moment. If someone asks whether you'd support the death penalty for someone who rapes and murders your wife, the answer is "hell, yes."

If someone asks whether you'd take unilateral action if you have actual proof that Iran is about toe start building nuclear weapons and the UN refuses to do anything about it, the answer is "hell, yes" not "I question the premise of your question." What of friggin wuss.

Not quite a "feel your pain" moment. But still, it's an improvement over the others.

...on his preemptive strike policy. Says this is something that can't wait until 2004. Goes on to say that THIS policy is causing nations like Iran to acceletate their nuclear programs.

66. Despite the way CNN is running this...
...I give big points to those that are managing to introduce these vital datum to the dialogue:

Edwards on War Profiteering
Dean on being responsible and honest in our foreign policy
Kerry on leakgate
Sharpton on the obvious GOP pandering the "moderators" are doing...

Seems like they are all having to "seize the moment" in taking time, because this is SO poorly managed by CNN.

Yes, Judy is being a "bad girl" but I'm lovin' the way the candidates are responding, apparently ruffling her feathers good! Geesh, if it would only sink into her thick, thick skull. Candidates are not backing down in their overall "togetherness" in getting rid of the current madness of K. George.

Now, let's hear questions from the audience!!!

She can't interrupt with a commercial nor does she have control over the microphone. Cannot just hang up or lose contact (technical difficulty) like she can behind her comfy desk on CNN.
