8. Coming up soon... also: "Has Judith Miller been truthful to her readers?"
Uhhh - that's a big "no" Wolfie.

She actually works for the White House NOT the NY Times.

11. "Miller: One of the most bizarre situations I'VE ever seen...."
Edited on Mon Oct-17-05 03:29 PM by kerry-is-my-prez
Jeff Greenfield - "I've never seen anything like this Judith Miller situation. It looks as if she covered up for the Admin. She called Scooter Libby "A former Capital Hill staffer" and didn't even mention that he was a current White House staffer."

26. She said something that was almost verbatim what Cheney said
When somebody pressed her about Iraq she said: "The world's a dangerous place". This is exaclty the same thing Cheney said when asked about his worldview.I wonder if she was coerced to trump up the WMD's crap.

12. I can't wait to hear the big guns explain away her article and I would lov
to hear them tell us again about how she went to jail to protect her source.

Big guns - Victoria Toensing, Joe DiGenova, Ann Coulter and all the others who have been pointificating about poor Judy, the put-upon journalist. Woe be Judy.

13. She was told by the new editor NOT to write any more artciles abt Iraq...
Because they weren't credible. She kept on publishing them anyways.

Then why wasn't she freaking fired???

21. McAuliffe: "It MAY go all the way up to the Prez. of the United States!"
Wolfie: "We'll have to wait and see."

That's Wolfie's analysis of the situation. Wouldn't you think that a REAL Jounalist on a REAL network would actually discuss and analyze this....

What a sham.

Oh well - at least they mentioned it.

29. I would like to say this again...
That I have just had about enough of the corporate media lifting indie press work and not sourcing whatsoever. Now MSNBC is sourcing Bloomberg too. I really think that we deserve the press that we get and if we don't want a corporate press singing talking points, then we have to fight for our indie press, that includes emailing/calling Bloomberg/MSNBC and demanding that they source honestly.

We broke this story last week and this week, Bloomberg and then the broadcasters think they are "breaking it". Blah

30. Many are now saying that the REAL media died when Dan Rather left...
There are a few others around like Olbermann, Moyers, Koppel etc. - but lets' face it - the only people who listen to them are people like us....

31. That is the point, indie press is the real press...
And when the corporate press lifts the work of indie press, they are also taking away possible future funding, which they do not need, but we do. The readers have to defend the real press, both from the smear stunts and from the lifting stunts. Otherwise, we will lose our indie press as well.
