If Jon Stewart treats O'Reilly in a civilized manner tonight
PLEASE understand that Jon is a thinking person who simply will not stoop to the same level as the other side. Jon should get some very clean shots with his wit though. ....and then the Colbert Report!!:bounce:woo hoo

1. It would be hilarious to see O'Rielly on the Colbert Report
I wonder if he would understand that Steve is mocking him?

20. I think he gets it
He appeared to on the show. I thought it wasn't too bad. I was surprised at how short Jon had him on!

3. He doesn't have to be nasty to get DildO'Reilly wound up.
BO has a very thin skin, and apparently some anger management issues. I remember when Terry Gross interviewed BO on NPR. She is not an expecially aggressive interviewer, and she was always polite, but she kept coming back to some topics BO seemed to feel were adversarial, and before long he got so pissed (because she wouldn't kiss his ass) that he terminated the interview. I hope Jon digs at him just enough to get him to stomp off the set in a snit.

21. He got pissed off pretty early!
And he wasn't even on there very long. Maybe he does need anger management classes or something. Or maybe it's all a big show?

4. I second that...
plus, just to witness Jon in a battle of wits with O'shithead will be like watching him take on a one legged man in an ass kicking contest (as my wise hillbilly grandma used to say):woohoo:

5. if he kisses up to orielly like he's done to some
he'll officially be turned to the other side in my book. Someone more interested in keeping his job than anything else.

8. i know you all saw keith tonight . . .
jumping around singing with glee after hearing o'really use the 'r' word (that's 'retire', if you missed the show).

jon is a class act and civil to all his guests. i have seen o'really on tds before. i am sure they will talk about o'really's new book and stay away from any hot topics.

11. Both will be civilized.
O'Lielly will know better than to represent himself the same way he does to the Faux News audience; he'll be on his best behavior.

Love fest.

I'll watch out of curiosity -- if I remember it's on.

12. Agreed. O'Reilly will try to act all charming and affable. But I won't
yell at Jon if he doesn't go off on the guy. After all this is a comedy show not a courtroom.

13. Love the juxtaposition...
Jon interviewing Falafel Bill, then a commercial break, then Jon talking to Colbert in his O'Reilly character. Wonder if Bill will stick around to watch.

18. He can't even be on for 5 minutes without screaming at someone
I spewed soda all over my monitor when he called Jon a pinhead! That's balls. But Jon held his own.

The only thing that could have been better would have been if Jon had a plate of falafel to offer him a snack!
