10. Right click on your broken icon

and highlight properties. You'll see the url. You have DU's url in your photo url for some reason. I wonder why.

because you have to delete everything after "jpg" (at least that's how it works for me).

If you cut and past usually that is on your own computer. You do have to download photos to a "site" if you want them to render on somebody elses browser.

Are you talking about here at the DU?

4. My photobucket pics still work. I used to be able to Google an image

and copy and paste the jpg on my post. Now I just get a link and not the pic.

but in the DU rules, it's a NO NO to hotlink images to DU. Maybe they put something in place to stop people from doing so?

14. You just post the url of the photo with http in it

as long as you have it uploaded to a free hosting site like photobucket. Our friend here has the DU url included in his JPG url for some reason.
