do people get voted off the island or humiliated in any way?

That show "The Biggest Loser" is unbelievable. Under the guise of helping people (lose weight) they embarrass them. I watch because I have always struggled to keep weight off and respect these people who are working so hard to do so (and desperate enough to do it on national tv).

13. it's a travel show on pbs

where people visit different parts of the world. it's not a game or anything. mostly educational. but it's fun to watch and just learn about what is out there in the world.

you learn a bit about the people, culture etc of the places they visit.

12. Last week's was funny, too

It was the first time I'd actually been able to see an entire episode, and it was the one where he has to apologize to an ex-girlfriend for faking his own death rather than just breaking up with her. Earl's brother going on and on about how men and women are different had me laughing so hard I was wishing I'd seen them all since the premiere. The ones coming up look great, too.

I've gotten away from watching sitcoms the past couple of years, but My Name is Earl has pulled me back in. :)
