Anyone happen to catch Nightline last night?
I am STILL seething over this program!!

The story involves a solider who dies in Iraq, and the series of blunders involved in retrieving his body for proper burial.

I Am so FUCKING ANGRY that our soldiers are fighting an UNJUST war and the f'ing government can't even RESPECTFULLY get your body home!

Anyone see it?

Discuss.

1. yep saw parts of it.....
The Chicago Sun-Times also did a story of a local family here that went thru a similar ordeal. They went to the airport to retrieve the casket and it was brought to them on a forklift!!

Be ready to get even more pissed.

I cannot imagine the pain of loosing a family member to an unjust war,and then having their remains DUMPED like trash at your feet!

This REALLY pisses me off.

2. I saw it.
That poor family. The military handles the returning bodies like airlines handle lost luggage.

What about the story where the Army didn't even show up to a funeral in time to place a flag on the casket?

3. I saw it
Made me angry, too. The father was a very impressive guy. The whole family was. I can't believe that the government can't even get this part right. Well...I guess I can believe it given all the other incompetence. The lack of consideration, concern, dare I say COMPASSION, is amazing.
