Rove scheme: Lie, Lie, Lie, and then... lie some more. "Flippers" lying?
Edited on Wed Oct-19-05 11:09 AM by garybeck
people keep getting excited because someone in the white house is "flipping" and helping the prosecutor.

We have to remember... this could easily be just another scheme of Rove. A last minute effort to lie their way out of it, or minimize the damage. Maybe to point the finger at a fall guy. Maybe to protect the president. maybe evenn to protect Rove himself. who knows. But it's entirely possible that these "flippers" are really just lying. This could actually be bad news and it could be confusing the investigation and who knows what the result of it will be. We don't know what they're saying. One questionable sign is that the mainstream media is reporting on the "flippers" (and that Bush has been mad at Rove about the whole thing). Usually when MSM reports on something it's a red flag.

They'll lie on TV to the american people. they'll lie to congress. Why wouldn't they lie to the prosecutor?

1. fitz is probably too smart for their lies. . .
Rove's mistake is that he thinks he is smarter than everyone else.

I get the feeling that Fitz on his worst day is better than Rove on his best day.

2. Just like their other lies, they will eventually get caught!
At least we can hope!

3. That's the problem with prosecutors
Unlike reporters and a fickle public, Federal prosecutors are trained to see through the lies.

They can't lie their way out of this one. They've already committed perjury, and probably a whoe lot more.

4. don't you think that there's a tendency for legal folk
to believe people when they're under oath? I realize they will consider perjury when signs point to it, but when several people are all lying about the same thing, it is tough.

5. You have to get all the details right.
Very hard for multiple people to get the details right when they're lying;especially to someone trained to expose the lies.

6. If, at this point, they're still lying ( a possiblity I posted myself )
then they are truly stupid. Once trials begin there is discovery. More info WILL out.

7. They'd best not lie
to this prosecutor. Rove needs to be smart enough to know he ain't smart enough to gas light Fitz.
