1. What did the President know, and when did he know it?
Because of all the Repub spinning, during Watergate, Sen. Howard Baker's (R-TN) question morphed into "What didn't the President know, and when didn't he know it?" Could that have been from SNL?

10. Maybe SNL
"What didn't the President know, and when didn't he know it?" emerged during the Reagan Iran-Contra scandal when his answer to every question about it was "I do not recall".

Scandal is far too mild a word for the single greatest act of treason committed by anyone this high in government. The fact that virtually all the key figures completely got away with it and the few scapegoats who took the blame became folk heroes to the Right does not bode well for Plamegate.

2. Ohh, and....it should raise questions for the White House press corps
"If Rove told the President about his role in the leak, why did the President say what he said last year?

If Rove told the President about his role in the leak two years ago, did that occur before or after McClellan made these statements? If it was before, why did McClellan say what he said? If it was after, why has he never corrected the record?"

Of course, Scotty would dance all around those questions.

8. Well, they sometimes do try. But Scotty never answers.
"If this story is true, it raises troubling questions to me -- and I think should trouble the White House Press Corps as well."

Along with Conyers, we can only hope, and then hope Scotty's refusal to answer gets broader dissemination. It's obvious when you watch him, that he refuses to answer any question whose answer would embarrass the administration, but it doesn't become a story in its own right. It should. He purposefully hides the facts, flip flops around and will not admit to any inconsistencies in what he has previously told the press.

We can dream. :)

4. If Bush was in cahoots with a cover-up it is akin to Nixon with
Watergate.

7. This story is a bombshell, and yet, not a word on the cable news networks.
It's the talk of blogs... Josh Marshall has a great synopsis of this morning's gaggle with Scotty; the NY Daily News article is the first thing they jumped him on.

When will this make the news? It's a frickin' blockbuster.

9. I don't understand what the issue is here...
“The President -- no one wants to get to the bottom of this more than the President of the United States. And the sooner the better.”
Looks like he found out pretty soon, just as promised...
