Jeb! Bush: "Why us?" You've got to be kidding me.
http://abcnews.go.com/US/Weather/wireStory?id=1228591

PUNTA GORDA, Fla. Oct 19, 2005 — Storm-weary Floridians kept an anxious eye on Hurricane Wilma as it grew into a monster Category 5 storm Wednesday, with forecasters warning of a significant threat to the state by the weekend....

Gov. Jeb Bush said Floridians must be thinking, "Why us? … It's just something we're going to have to live with and prepare for."

Why you? Because you're there, schmuck. Something has to happen to you.

Jeb!, here's a simple little disaster quiz for you:

1. How many Florida cities have been (nearly) completely evacuated, will take months to resettle, and have had to lay off half their employees?

2. How many Floridians are saying they won't come back even after the damage is repaired? (A few here and there, but not tens of thousands :( )

3. How many Florida counties -- entire counties -- remain completely uninhabitable and will likely remain so for months (like St. Bernard Parish, La.)?

4. How many Florida towns have been completely obliterated -- wiped right off the map (like Waveland, Miss.)? (Admittedly Punta Gorda comes close.)

And you dare ask, "Why us?" What a slimeball. Apparently your brother King Dumbass** really is the compassionate one in the family. :grr:

1. Maybe because your family denies global climate change.
Think that could have something to do with it Jeb?

No. Then maybe you should think about how Jesus really feels about election fraud.

2. Because God hates you, JEB!
Time to atone, boy. Try giving all your worldly goods away to the poor for starters...

5. Odd, this things looks like it is puroposefully avoiding Cuba
making an end run around it.

Okay sorry I shouldn't have posted that I should have only made a comment about the storm looking like an abortion or something like that.

Please forgive me.

3. Does he mean "Why not somebody else?"
I hate when somebody asks that question. As if things should happen to someone else, no matter the cause, never them.

4. Isn't this where someone makes a condescending statement...
about how THEY shouldn't be living in a place so susceptible to natural disaster and then add on about how much money it will take to replace the houses of THESE PEOPLE who chose to live where it is so dangerous.

8. Jebthro's skeered because all those photo ops with his Monkey Bro.
will be exposed for just what they were if this 'Cane follows Charley's landfall. Lots of people still in FEMA trailers a year later down Punta Gorda way.

9. You ignorant child
Instead of shouting "woe is me" before you slither off behind closed doors and lick your chops over all the $ and juicy contracts coming Florida's way.

You should have been proactive, stepped out of the way...and let the adults who've BTDT http://tinyurl.com/7wymx take a stab at lessening these disasters.

but then again... "blood on the hands" is a Bushco right of passage...

10. It would seem to be karma driving all this... his brother in the
WH ignoring global warming, while Florida gets slammed by multiple hurricanes, including the strongest one in recorded history.

Both Fitz and Mother Nature seem to be simultaneously declaring: "The Bushes are going down!"
