Poll question: Do you think Bill O'Rielly was serious about quiting "The... Factor"???
He said, on "The Daily Show w/Jon Stewert" Tuesday night, that he was thinking of quitting "The O'Rielly Factor." Do you think he was serious or What?

I personally think he's just being a Big Baby, because he knows that Steven Colbert's new show "The Colbert Report" is heavily mocking his show and style. Typical, the bully can't take being made fun of...

So, what do you think is going on with O'Liely?

1. He says he is may be retiring.
I think he knows what is coming. There will be no audience for him anymore. I heard his audience wasnt't that big before. Or maybe he is getting canceled.

2. He shoulda quit when he was at the top of the ratings.
You quit before you get to the stage that you will have to jump the shark.

3. He was ranting at Jon. "All you do is make fun of people"
Edited on Thu Oct-20-05 12:54 AM by Hissyspit
Like Katrina's victims.

This is not true, but that's the best O'Lielly could come up with. He TRIED to distance himself from the neo-cons, too - yeah, right - which is acting like Dennis Miller did right before the end.

He is running scared.

4. He was acting as if he bested Jon Stewart tonight. I didn't see the show.
Is there a shred of truth to this?

5. The piece is on Crooks and Liars.
to me O'Liely came across as bitter and mean. He implied TDS likes to make fun of things like Katrina. He said TDS "adds insult to injury...:" John gave him that and O'Liely was so excited like he made a basket and then John Stewart followed with "...but you just add injury." I thought that was exquisite.

6. I guess if you call getting booed by "The Daily Show" audiance...
...as besting Jon...

No, he was being a "...why you and that French Guy making fun of me?" idiot last night.

Here's a link to the video, judge for yourself:

I had taped the segment and watched it a while ago - O'Reilly came of as petty and idiotic and mean, which pretty much is what he is

9. He's just in a snit
there is too much competition for him and he is no longer the guy to listen to. To top it off - Jon Stewart has beat him with intelligence and humor and getting good ratings too.

What else would a little boy do? Take his toys and go home.

12. Let me put it this way...
I just really, really hope so!

I think he must be aware that his radio status is crap. It has to drive him insane that the Colbert show is riffing on him. He does love to mule and whine. He might want to continue, because he is a megalomaniac who thinks he's the only one who knows anything, but the network probably isn't too happy with him anymore.

It's so freaking lame and predictable.

My daughter called him a drama queen when he was on TDS. I think she's right.

on edit: That way he can come out and say, 'due to my beloved fans, I'll stay on another year or two for them'. :eyes:
