Harriet (Oopsie) Liars forgot ONE MORE thing on her resume:
Miers also said she should have listed her role as a director of the Happy Child Mission, a nonprofit ministry in Brazil.

1. Happy Child Mission
Might be a wonderful program for children in need, but it sure sounds like one of those awful euphemistic names for the worst of the Residential Treatment Facilities here in US. Smacks of all the up is down of "No Child Left Behind."

2. *sniff sniff* Does anyone smell booze?
AS I said on another thread all these loose ends not being tied up (liens, no relationship, utter devotion to W, the born again thing, forgetting positions she has held, incomplete answers)......I'm just saying I have a feeling.

4. She's got that thick drunkie-lady face, now that you mention it...

and maybe she DOES actually sleep in her makeup.

You're on to something. Start a thread on it, Unders! Please.

5. Nah you go ahead
Run with it.

This just hit me yesterday. Having gone through a bottoming out with a relative I know the signs...they were there all along....lack of attention to detail-complete loss of priorities and the most basic real world expectations- etc.

10. And don't forget the giddy cards and letters to the biggest fool of all.
She must have been soused when she wrote that gushing stuff!

On edit: Alzheimers? Child? That doesn't make sense. Eh, you know what I mean!

9. Talking about a poster child,
Edited on Thu Oct-20-05 02:18 PM by MissMarple
she has a new haircut, but doesn't know how to maintain it. And someone needs to help her with the make up. She has raccoon eyes, for heaven's sake. As we all know, ladies, the liner does NOT go all the way around the eye, unless of course, one is cultivating the goth look. Which is fine, but not for a 60 year old Supreme Court nominee.

on edit. As hippygranny says, Miers is supposed to be good at the details. :eyes:

6. Her supposed "attention to detail"
is what got her nominated. It's a little ironic... don't ya think?

8. God damn it!
When I worked as a bottom-rung bean-counter in the finance industry, one my licenses required a comprehensive listing of all employment and residences for the past decade, plus a listing of all current holdings and any other business obligations. Falsification or omission of information was explicit grounds for denial or revocation of license.

This ill-qualified shyster presumes to join the most powerful court in the land, and yet she can't meet the same stringent requirements of a Series 6?

And that was just to answer a god damn phone!
