" Setting the Bar Higher" - who wins and who loses from "ID"

In my conspiratorial world view - I have a very conspiratorial question, based on

"spitting out undereducated youngsters"

"In a nutshell, it’s either a bold attempt to re-insert creationism into high school science classes—an accusation that ID proponents vehemently deny—or it’s an equally transparent attempt to dumb down our nation’s science curriculum"

Who wins when we "spit out undereducated youngsters" and "dumb down our science curriculum?"

Maybe the same powers that "win" when we cut funding for Stem Cell Research"

Maybe the same powers that win from Bush's war on science. (See "The Republican War on Science" by Chris Mooney)

In a zero sum world - there's always a winner and a loser.

1. Science looses, Kid's loose, and America looses.

2. The Pubs need domestic workers, factory workers, repair people,
etc, etc. They do not want thinkers for new solutions unless there is a profit.

They(Vast majority) are not benevolent or altruistic. Selfish and greedy is a more apt phrase

3. Deeper question - who wins when science and our kids and America lose?
I'm a little bit paranoid here.

(Are we setting ourselves up for a truly massive H1B "takeover" or a truly massive "outsourcing" and "offshoring" of what remains of our science?)
