Did you catch Kay Bailey Hutchison's Freudian slip on MTP?
Russert: Sen Hutchinson, do you think there is a possibility that the White House may pull Harriet Miers nomination?

Hutchison: No I do not Tim. I think they have complete faith in her as I do, I know her, they know her. She is totally qualified for the Supreme Court of the United States. Her legal background, her absolute leadership in the legal field when she was a practicing lawyer, uh are UNQUALIFIED.

18. She has never been a trial lawyer. She couldn't find ....

She couldn't find the courthouse without a map. When she did show up, someone else did the courtroom work. She was there for show only.

Just pointing out that she's not even a trial lawyer.

She was a lawyer who got business from big business, a rain maker.

ridiculous like "unparallelled" or whatever but inadvertently spoke the truth. Bet they HATE it when that happens!

14. Dang. I was in college with Kay Bailey (now Hutchison)
We were also camp counselors together.

Guess I'll just go back to bed and stay out of everybody's way since I'm so old.

20. Wasn't she a news reporter at one time?
During the campaign '04 'Frontline' did an episode about Kerry and Bush. There was a shot a bus or plane covering whatever George HW Bush was campaigning for and I swear the correspondent was Kay Bailey Hutchinson. That was a rather eye opening moment! It certainly put her in a whole new light where I'm concerned. I couldn't stand her from the get go but after finding out that she's been a Bush whore since the '70's makes her presence that much worse. Ultimately what is appalling is that her background and connection with the BFEE is rarely a topic of discussion.

5. She also said that perjury and obstruction of justice aren't real crimes
Russert, bless his heart, threw the Clinton charges in her face. Make KBH look like the fool she is.

8. I heard that too.
She hopes that they don't come up with something minor like perjury and obstruction just to justify two years of investigation. Not quite her words but close.

11. Love her use of words:
Hutchison: No I do not Tim. I think they have complete faith in her as I do, I know her, they know her. She is totally qualified for the Supreme Court of the United States. Her legal background, her absolute leadership in the legal field when she was a practicing lawyer, uh are UNQUALIFIED.

..........

complete faith in her
totally qualified
absolute leadership

.......

Kay's prayer:

Hail Harry(ette) full of grace, our complete faith is with thee.
Totally qualified are thee in all the right places.
Blessed is your absolute leadership.
And blessed is the fruit of thy background: Georgus.
Holy Harry above the law pray for our choices now and at time of SCOTUS votes.
Amen.
