Simple proof that things are headed in the wrong direction.

Since well before I moved to Florida nine years ago, when Walgreen's had a coupon for their bar soap in their ad it was 5 bars for a buck and their coarse 1000 sheet rolls of t.p. were 3 for a buck. Today it was 4 for a buck for soap and 39 cents a roll for the asswipe.

So 20 cent soap and 34 cent t.p. have gone the way of 22.9 cent a gallon gasoline.

That's actually quite good considering inflation.

I think there are lots of other things that prove we're headed in the wrong direction, though.

I could easily attribute those cost increases to fuel costs.

4. Of course that's the reason. That and the cost of lights in the

stores and factories, heating them in the Winter, etc.
