I'm sick to death of hear about that and Kobe! But, I recognize your right to post whatever you want, and realize I just "kicked your thread," but why would this be so important to you with all else that's goin on out here in the world?

It's a personal murder case. Not Bush/Cheney/PNAC trying to roll back "New Deal" America! :shrug:

Although not everyone might be interested, to the gay community, it is...it marked a milestone and showed how someone can be killed just for who you are.

Although there are many things going on in the world, we must be cognizant what's going on here in the states. Plus, there are many things impacting the gay community right now. Federal Marriage Amendment, Canada Marriage, other stuff..

I would suggest you read up before you talk about something you obviously know nothing about.

First of all Shepard had no wife because he was gay.

He also was the victim of an anti-gay hate crime which is VERY important on a political level - especially when so many in our party are active in taking steps to making such crimes as few in number as possible.

This was NOT a "personal murder case". At the time it drew national attention. Additionally, this VERY CASE was the reason multitiudes of legislation was passed afterwards to protect gays from discrimination. It is by far a "personal" case.

And guess what? In case you hadn't noticed such cases involve Bush & his ilk precisely because they seek to attack gays in anyway they can politically.

The anniversary of his murder was 2 or 3 days ago.
