Hatred of your fellow Americans - it's the reason for the season!, October 20, 2005
Reviewer: Jennifer (Little Rock) - See all my reviews Mr. Gibson is right - for far too long, Christmas has been all mucked up with silly liberal ideas like "peace on Earth, goodwill towards men," while all decent God-fearing Fox newscasters know that it's really supposed to be all about celebrating the fact that Jesus likes some people (rich ones) a whole lot better than other people (poor ones). What better than a Christmas season marked by orgiastic consumption of consumer goods produced and marketed by reliable conservative-supporting corporations to remind the poor that Jesus hates them, and that is their appointed lot in life, so there's no need to look for earthly causes for their economic struggles. They're poor because Jesus doesn't like them - probably because they are bad people. That's just the way it is, and Christmas is a great annual reminder of the cold hard facts. Then the liberals want to get in on the act and spoil all the fun by insisting that we not be allowed to show off how much Jesus loves us by plastering made-in-China light-up plastic religious statuettes and assorted other trinkets all over every square inch of public property in the country! I'm sure some liberals would even sink so low as to suggest that the money spent on such religious trinketry could be better spent by helping those in need - but that's because they don't understand that Jesus doesn't WANT to help those people - He has already shown us how He feels about them! Because liberals are getting in the way of Jesus getting His message across to the poor and unfortunate, it's safe to say that Jesus hates them, too. So maybe not all is lost, if we can just find a way to make Christmas about Jesus' hate for liberals too. Perhaps children of liberals can be made to stand on crates outside of their schools in pouring rain ala Jane Eyre, while reciting the Biblical account of Jesus' birth. Or maybe we could identify liberals in the workplace, and have them work double-time during the holiday season for minimum wage, just to remind them that Jesus doesn't care for their kind. This would have the added benefit of allowing all real Christians to take an extended time off during the holidays, which would allow them even more time to remind everyone else that Jesus doesn't like them, and neither do they. These are just a few ideas; I'm sure we could come up with many others to turn back the liberal attack on the true meaning of Christmas. I only gave the book 3 stars because Mr. Gibson seemed to be more interested in whining about how bad liberals are than in showing them the true reason for the season. Word, Mr. Gibson - Jesus can take care of showing the liberals what He really thinks of them, He just needs some creative input from people like you.
