Who thinks Ahnold will endorse Bush* next year?
I am wondering. He has the Kennedy family connection and he is a moderate republic'. He is asking Bush* for money to bail out California. I'm kind of thinking he may not give Bush* the two thumbs up next year.
Ok, Californians I know this is painful and I would not want him as governor either but what do you think, really, will he endorse Bush* next year?

1. That's not the important part. State governors decide which way
electoral votes are cast in any electoral college dispute (as I understand it.) That's the real reason Florida was moot. In a pinch Jeb would declare for Shrub. Shrub intends to get the same pledge from other Republican governors for 2004. That's why he has to "control" all the big-numbered states. If the people dare to vote against him again, he'll just make his little puppies in CA, TX, FL and NY bark. Of course they hope that pinch won't ever happen, because that would make a lot of people angry--the electoral college has never totally abandoned the popular vote as a guide--until 2000, and they managed to portray that travesty as some sort of legal anomaly, not a crime, which it obviously was.

11. Nice post ; we have much to worry about
Your scenario is perfectly plausible.

Many people would be angry, indeed. Some might be locked up. But I suspect that the half of eligible voters who skip elections wouldn't care greatly. The vast majority of the public would quickly go back to watching reality TV...

15. No, The US Constitution says it is the state legislatures that
decide the manner in which electoral voters shall be determined. No worry in that area.

2. Arni for Bush?`
Edited on Fri Oct-10-03 10:55 PM by cyclezealot
Sorry, but this is a just not plausable. Arni. You read he met with M. Milken, K. Lay in May 2001. Reported by Gregg Palast and mentioned in the Calif. debate by Arianna Huffington. Now, we learn from "Scoop." reported in another thread at DU that in Arnold's campaign web site are plans for complete privitatization of electric.
You can judge one by their friends. Well, these friends do not hang out with Democrats.
What is funny Bush bail out California. Can't be serious.. Bush has bankrupted this country.. Can't get money from a beggar. Nice try Arni. Besides, what federal programs can bail out the California budget and what about the state budget defecits of about 47 other states. This will be funny to see.
The real shame here is too many Democrats think Arni can be reasonable. Social issues are a cover up for the real instincts of a politician.Economics is the real battle ground and ultimate test of loyality. Democrats fooled by window dressing and don't ultimately have a visceral contempt for his real loyalities will ultimately kick themselves, should they become too co-operative with the Gobernator.

Edited on Fri Oct-10-03 10:48 PM by LastKnight
on cnn they were sayin that there was gonna be a meeting between them in the near future and they would endorse each other... ive already heard soundbites of ah-nuld suckin up to bushy... i think it will happen, just my opnion though.

wouldnt it be ironic though, if ah-nuld endorsed the real reason california is bankrupt... and i can be all but certian that it will happen.

4. 3to1 in favor, yes he will.

Hes a star, it will look like Bush can come to the left on some issues, local papers always cover rallys with the states Gov, right wing actors will be given a fourm.. CA was a huge deal. Course im gona get hammered for saying this by a few people. Personaly, i think this is a issue that should be hammered smartly.

10. Well...
You didn't see Bush going to meet with Grey Davis to work out a solution for California... I think it's pretty much a safe bet he will.

13. Puh-leeeeze!
Greasing the skids for bush* in 2004 was the whole reason for manufacturing the recall to get a Republican installed in the first place! The recall plans were in motion virtually within minutes after Davis won the 2002 election!

Yes, movie star groper ahnold is going to parade duhbya around in 2004 for a lot of free publicity to sell him for the 2004. Yes, indeed.

14. On stage together, every city of every trip
No doubt making Terminator jokes and exchanging campaign shirts.

This is almost as certain as the Clippers not going undefeated.
