At this point, it probably wouldn't take much to set him off.

Hell no! It takes 3 days for his freaking meds to KICK in.

Our best bet: we submit the WH for consideration to Nanny 911 & let Nanny Deb whup his sorry ass. He'll have to be on camera 24/7 and within two days he'll have sat in the naughty chair so damnned long he'll hopefully have blood-clot related problem.

54. He does it on live tv all of the time
He just covers it up with a phony laugh and arrogance, you can see he's livid.

Did anyone see the time when a reporter asked if his entourage would get in the way of the NO recovery process (3rd time down I guess)? He was done taking question at that point, it was an off the cuff comment a reporter made while Chimp was leaving the mic. He spun around so quickly you though you just witnessed Linda Blair in the exorcist, and reprimanded the reporter with his shoulder jerk arrogant laugh and some wise ass comment.
It was obvious he was pissed off.

68. He did it at least one other time, too
Someone here had a link to a video. Asshat had just come out of a meeting with some mothers who'd lost kids in Iraq. He was trying to play all sympathetic and moved. A reporter asked him a question, and he snarled at the person for referring to him as "sir," as opposed to "Mr. President."

Remember the first debate against Kerry when he mugged like a teenager listening to a lecture from a parent?

9. I suspect
these little outbursts are becoming more frequent. On the other hand, I think the machine is preparing to make it look like Bush is at a distance from the fellows facing indictment. The off the cuff comment to a media source that Cheney may have been too involved in the pre-war intelligence is suspicious.

12. Yes, Bush is being distanced from the leak by the Media
And the Niger forgery is suddenly being blamed on an Italian opperative not linked to Michael Ledeen. It will be interesting how far Fitzgerald's investigation goes into the rational for war.
I don't think the revelation of Bush temper tantrums will help him in any way though.

39. "Misery"?
This is the most fun democrats have had since the first debate last year. Of course, the results are going to be much better.

The NYTimes will report that Cheney told Libby about Plame (there is a thread reporting this). Guess the pressure is on!

If I were to speculate, I'd say the grand jury will meet again tommorow, in an "unscheduled" meeting not unlike that last Thursday. If I were a hungry young reporter, I'd be at that courthouse. If I were a betting man, I'd wager that shortly after the lunch hour, a couple gentlemen will leave the court to deliver some messages.

Narcissistic personality disorder

Outbursts of anger is one of several traits.

A narcissistic individual is grandiose in their sense of self-importance and exaggerates their achievements and talents. He expects to be recognized as superior without achieving any great accomplishments.

A narcissistic individual is preoccupied with fantasies of his brilliance as well as his unlimited success or power. He fantasizes about beauty or ideal love.

A narcissistic individual believes that he is "special" or "unique." He feels that he can only be understood by or should associate with other special or high status people.

A narcissistic individual requires excessive admiration and is on a constant search for admiration.

A narcissistic individual has a sense of entitlement. He has unreasonable expectations of favorable treatment and expect others to automatically comply with his wishes.

A narcissistic individual takes advantage of others to achieve his own ends and uses others without regards to the feelings of others.

A narcissistic individual lacks empathy and does not identify with the feelings or needs of others.

A narcissstic individual is envious of others and believes that others are envious of him.

A narcissistic individual shows arrogant or haughty behaviors or attitudes and does not care who he offends.

If W's excuse for not knowing about the ouiting of Plame is that he's insane, I'm sure the RW will back him up.

... and shameful. He routinely rebukes junior staffers for minor indiscretions (such as when a reporter's cell phone goes off, and Mr. Bush blames his aides ... as if they were supposed to frisk everyone entering the room). As you say, he doesn't need to yell at people or discipline them. And in his position as Head of State, it's really undignified and unprofessional to do that. I have never seen Queen Elizabeth II disrespecting her staff on camera -- there are certain things which just aren't done. I find it unsettling that he enjoys doing it so much.

In contrast, Clinton and Gore liked using their positions to make people feel special and respected. If they were handing out awards, or visiting schools, or thanking citizens -- they were aware of how much this meant to a lot of people, and good manners were part of that role.

51. So far Bush has been able to deflect questions from the press
by merely saying the Plame matter is an ongoing investigation that needs to play itself out. If the investigation gets completed and the hammer of justice comes down on Rove et al. with indictments and the beginnings of criminals trials, Bush is going to be increasingly pressed to come up with comments and answers. I don't think he's going to have an easy time keeping his cool as the press (hopefully) gets bolder and more insistent. Of course he might dispense with press conferences altogether, as he has nearly done anyway.
