2. Same here....
due to the fact I don't have any 24hr news channels, which I am very happy about. At least Crooks and Liars puts up the good highlights of any days events and RW idiocy!

3. The Prelinger archives
http://www.archive.org/details/prelinger

"Prelinger Archives was founded in 1983 by Rick Prelinger in New York City. Over the next twenty years, it grew into a collection of over 48,000 "ephemeral" (advertising, educational, industrial, and amateur) films. In 2002, the film collection was acquired by the Library of Congress, Motion Picture, Broadcasting and Recorded Sound Division. Prelinger Archives remains in existence, holding approximately 4,000 titles on videotape and a smaller collection of film materials acquired subsequent to the Library of Congress transaction. Its goal remains to collect, preserve, and facilitate access to films of historic significance that haven't been collected elsewhere. Included are films produced by and for many hundreds of important US corporations, nonprofit organizations, trade associations, community and interest groups, and educational institutions. Getty Images represents the collection for stock footage sale, and some 2,000 key titles are available here. The collection currently contains over 10% of the total production of ephemeral films between 1927 and 1987, and it may be the most complete and varied collection in existence of films from these poorly preserved genres."

6. Here's a few I tend to frequent...
Since I don't have a lot of time to watch TV for this stuff, I catch up on video headlines over at:

www.crooksandliars.com
www.canofun.com
www.onegoodmove.org/1gm

You also can't go wrong with...

www.comedycentral.com

They've got Daily Show and Colbert Report clips... usually posted the day after the shows air.

16. Oops you're right
I hadn't been over there for a while. They must have found that the bandwidth was too much. Now they look like a clone of Kos, without the snark. That might not be a bad thing, actually.

17. Letter from CSpan
I do know they got a cease and desist from them. I don't know if they're still posting any other clips or if that shook them up to the point where they stopped altogether.

19. They haven't posted clips in quite a while...
I think they stopped the practice after a complaint from c-span.

I sure did use them quite a bit and it's sad there's no more clips.

20. I agree with the above, but would add BradBlog, where our dzika
sometimes guest-blogs with entries including his video clips. For example:

http://www.bradblog.com/archives/00001917.htm

The first two places I look these days are Can-o-fun, which usually puts it up first, and Crooks & Liars, but if I don't find what I want there, there's the rest of the list to check.
