Rush Limbaugh Poll

Should we as DU'ers keep pointing out on a daily basis the hypocrisy and the tissue of lies that is Rush Limbaugh as we've known him for years?

Or..should we say enough is enough,we can be better than Limbaugh and his Freeper crowd by not posting about his addiction and feeling some compassion for the man?

Not feeling any compassion here. The first gesture has to come from pigboy. He hasn't earned any yet.

but remember revenge is a dish best served cold. In the future (if he actually ever has one) any Rush diatride can be dismissed with a "hmmm... fallen off the wagon again?" or a "classic example of your brain on drugs."

As for freepers, think how they must feel realizing they've been worshipping at the feet of a common drug addict who self induced his hearing loss.

to call the flabby coward a hypocritical junkie racist who deserves to be tossed in jail the way he often said drug abusers should be.

And I hope no-one of us will descend to his level and point out to his ignorant hate-filled listeners that they've been following someone everyone else knew was an ugly piece of shit, or that his addiction to hillbilly heroin shows what trash he is on a personal level.

Let us take the high road, as this asswipe never did when using his radio jihad to stir up the sort of scum who pine for the days of lynching bees and McCarthyism.

So, while I have no problem with others pointing the hypocrisy, I have no interest in discussing Rush.

When he apologizes to all those he has offened my forgiveness is his, but until then I figure all attacks on Rush are just a way of offering antipraise to the antichrist of the right.

Remember how we felt when it came out that JFK was taking pain pills and the Republicans were all over it like white on rice? Sure, there's a huge difference, but I think if anything we should "formally" regret Rush's poor choices. Indeed, at some point he did choose to get his meds illegally.

It doesn't do anyone any good to sink to their level really. If the public is really sick of the politics of attack, that will position us on the high road.

Why give the SOB attention especially while he's out of the public eye and in recovery? I think the less said, the better.

We have plenty to comment on as it is. Now ShRubbish says he is going to bring "democracy" to Cuba. What a crock! Let's keep our focus on his tissue of lies and his dangerous policies and on getting him out of the White House.

fuck him and I'm glad he's off the radio for a while. I've got limited compassion and not much left over for a hatemongering, lying gasbag who's got enough money and resources to handle his own problems. Like he tells everyone else to.

BTW, he's even lying about that. 30 days isn't rehab, it's just detox. Rehab takes a lot longer than the initial drying out.

This is about the hypocrisy, and not much else.

Most here at DU are compassionate enough for the addiction; but it is the coldheartedness he showed everyone with a problem.

As for the freepers.....who cares, maybe, just maybe, they might come here and see that their idol was a man of no substance. THere was never anything there in the first place, now let us see if he can come clean, and start being the man of integrity he thinks he is.

If you wanted to do a fair and honest poll, it should be like this:

Should DUers show the same level of hate in their speech that Rush used for years?

OR

Should DUers find a different way to talk about Rush's hypocrisy that doesn't include stooping to his level of filth?

That should be the question.

Go back and re-read it,sounds to me like you'd rather had all comments about Rush stopped right then.

These threads about Rush aren't all inclusive to DU,there are hundreds of others to read and rehash.

I don't see where this is "endless rehashing" anyway. Many new points are brought up and some dismissed.

Ya know this is important,Limbaugh is the equivalent of Propaganda Minister when Hitler was in power. He's bought and paid for by corporations and spends his show hours tearing apart working class people,women,minorities,drug addicts etc.

Now that his ass is on the line we need to keep on his ass. Mike Malloy would agree,Guy James would agree.
