Just read the Plame threads on LBN. The more you learn about this
the more it appears that "treason" is a reasonable charge or at least defrauding the government, murder of US military or something more than just simple perjury, obstruction. How big can "conspiracy to engage the USA in an illegal war" get?

3. No, he said they WILL be.
Not that they SHOULD be.

He's trying to make the point that they should be held to the standard of previous convicted "traitors" (Rosenbergs?) but that he's against the death penalty. That was the joke on Letterman about Bush getting the death penalty, but that "I believe there should be an amendment" to outlaw executing a sitting president.
