1. Canada is great...

...but it's not perfect. They have 15% sales tax, which I think is the most unfair tax since it isn't based on income. The Canadian Bill Gates pays the same as someone struggling with two jobs. Also...they are regulated to death. My husband and I have a house in Nova Scotia, which we love, but there are ridiculous rules and costly fees everytime you turn around. They only sell alcohol in state run liquor stores...a Canadian said to me, "the state has to have it's hand in everything." You want cable TV...great. Do you shop around for a good price? No. There are two gov. regulated companies, both expensive.
