Liar Liar Pants on Fire
My dad is co-editor of a newsletter, The Kingman Democrat put out by the local Dem. chapter, Kingman, Az. The following is from their lastest newsletter. I hope it alright to post this here. I found it amusing, though I'm sure Bush* wouldn't.

Bush's "PANTS ON FIRE' TRUCK TO HIT NATIONAL FREEWAYS

From Ben Cohen's True Majority: TrueMajorityACTION which will educate, lobby, and GET ACTIVE IN THE 2004 ELECTIONS.

George Bush is a liar. So we're building a 12' high statue of our resident with his pants on fire(using artificial flames) which we will drive all over the country on his very own flatbed trailer. We'll use ridicule and whimsy to disseminate into the n ational consciousness what the media and pundits aren't saying - that this president lies about some of the most important issues facing our country. So here's the idea behind the campaign: If we are going to cut through the clutter of media, we can't just call Bush a liar. The 'Pants on Fire' statue sends the message that the facts are so plain to see that even a child can get it. People who see Bush with his pants on fire (and our PantsOnFire.net banner) will think. 'Liar, Liar..'This interactive mental process makes it really sink in. "Check out PantsOnFire.net

What I wouldn't give to see that flatbed trailer driving down IH 10 through San Antonio. Needless to say, I won't be holding my breath.

4. What a great idea!
It would be so great if more would pick up on this idea! Liar, Liar chapters all over the US, to show up whenever and wherever Bush does!

6. I love it
There's a delicious irony in the statue aspect of it. Unfortunately, if it's real and I hope it is, the truck will need will need an accompanying security detail.

7. I checked out the website
They have an e-mail address where you can sign up to drive the flatbed trailer, so I guess it is real.

9. As much as I would love to see
the Pants-on-Fire-Mobile criss-crossing the nation, followed by a fire truck, I'm afraid it won't get very far. I fear for the safety of those in and around the truck. It'll be egged, shot at, and attacked by mobs of angry dittoheads in towns where parade-permitting and other ordinances don't prevent it from entering legally.

At the same time, the pants-on-fire concept is truly ingenious. It's the best idea I've seen and one I think a lot of people could get fired up about. I can see all kinds of takes on it. I hope it spreads like wildfire.

10. Sadly, your right about the attacks it would receive
And that's too bad, because the message needs to get out that Bush* is indeed a huge Liar. The fact that some in this Country refuse too believe that or worse yet, don't want it pointed out to them, doesn't make it any less true.

12. wonder if throwing a few bucks their way
would get me in a heap of trouble? Sad when Americans feel they can't support a dissenting voice against their pResident. This idea would have spread like mad during the Clinton Admin. and no one would have feared for their safety from those who did not like the message it sent. Much has changed since the Boy King was anointed.
