Thousands protest against Bush visit to Brazil
http://www.alertnet.org/thenews/newsdesk/N26149265.htm

BRASILIA, Brazil, Oct 26 (Reuters) - Several thousand demonstrators on Wednesday marched through Brazil's capital Brasilia in a protest against U.S. President George W. Bush and his planned visit to the Latin American country on Nov. 6.

Indians clad in weed skirts from the northeastern state of Bahia were dancing and chanting anti-Bush slogans to the rhythm of homemade rattles.

Organizers and police estimated around 6,000 demonstrators participated in the march toward the U.S. Embassy, which was heavily guarded by police.

Bush is scheduled to meet President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva in Brasilia on Nov. 6 after attending the Summit of the Americas in Mar del Plata, Argentina, between Nov. 3 and 5. From Brasilia he is to travel to Panama.

10. Unfortunately, that was not the case. He is still a hero to the
Conservatives, although today he would not be viewed as a Conservative.

6. These people used to protest corporate globalization
Now they've narrowed it down to Dubya Bush.

It's more symbolically powerful to use one bad guy to exemplify all the evil on this planet.

14. Tell it to King Dumbass**
who is said to have asked Brazil's leader (not Lula but his predecessor), "Are there blacks in Brazil?", as reported in a German newspaper, though this has not been absolutely confirmed.

These 6,000 folks were just getting WARMED UP for the real thing in 10 days or so.

Bush is going to get a Major Message from the people when he goes way down South.
