What a brother Dubya has. He is being a martyr for him now in Florida.
Jeb claims it's not FEMA's fault people still do not have water, ice, food; but his and, of course, the people had plenty of time to prepare for two days of Ice, water, and food.

Well, didn't FEMA have enough time too as well as the National Guard (any there?), as well as the State and local government.

Also, I'm wondering if they are holding back (Federal and State Government). Why? Because if they have the same problems happen that happened during Katrina (not as severe since no flooding), then it would look as if what they did was not racially and/or class motivated.

When I saw all those middle class white people holding a big sign up saying, "We need ice and water." We need help," I told my husband that it looked fake. Because they were all clean appearing (as if they had showered, bathed, wearing clean clothes whatever). They were standing in their yard with their cars in the driveway. There really didn't look like any or much damage around them. There was no flooding to stop them from going to get any. It looked like a show that was being put on. Kind of like DeLay's little yuppies going down during the selection of 2000 and banging on the doors screaming, "Stop the counting of the votes", "Let us in." Very staged appearing.

When Wilma was hitting Mexico, they were reporting that trucks were in place to take in any and everything that could be needed after the storm. Where the heck did they go? Now people are waiting in line for everything. For some reason, the media is showing the same one line of traffic over and over trying to make it sound like no one is getting any help. Sound familiar.

Thankfully, there was none of the flooding and I think maybe 6 people unfortunately lost their lives, but they are trying to make it appear as bad as what happened when Katrina hit. I find that strange and I think they are using it as a strategy for the future, especially with Jeb taking all responsibility for everything going wrong, especially FEMA's slowness in getting there with help.

However, Jeb is really stressing that it's his fault since he is the Governor. Now wonder why he is taking the hit for all the problems? By Jeb stating all the problems are his fault, could this mean that the governors listed below were cowards not to accept any blame after Katrina? Of course, Alabama gov. is a Republican and we really didn't hear much from him or the Mississippi gov. Is it Jeb's idea for a future plan? Especially, since the blame questions will come up again regarding Katrina and who was to blame for a lot of that mess. Maybe Jeb is doing this for Dubya so Dubya can say how Florida stood up and took responsibility for their errors.

Jeb Bush may be doing this just for Jeb Bush as well and for any future plans he has. He may not run for president in '08; however, if the Republicans steal the election again, and we let them, Jeb Bush will have a high-up cabinet position. No doubt in my mind.

I think he is right about the people having supplies; however, I remember hearing reports way before Wilma hit that there were trucks waiting to take in water, ice, food, whatever the people needed. Then the hurricane hits, everybody is waiting on FEMA, and yet again . . . where the Hell are they?

Long lines for nothing but aggravation (or show?).

1. The PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY theme, a GOP hallmark
I have a few elderly friends down that way, and I think making them suffer so that the monkey does not appear racist is a big mistake.

Plenty of those people remember Brownie coming down for that hurricane right before the elections, handing out checks left and right...and Monkey himself showing up in his work shirt and jeans...

2. The Bushboys don't do accountability. Anywhere anytime.
My brother is in Coconut Creek and the last I heard from him was Sunday morning. He had his supplies, cell phones charged, and generator ready to go. His home is concrete blocks but if the roof was torn off and wind and rain damage done, none of his planning would have helped.

Jeb's putting down Floridians was out of bounds. I hope Floridians dump him and all Republicans.

3. Well he cannot run again. I think Governors only can run two
terms like presidents, so Jebbie is gone from Florida. However, sometime in the future, we all know he is going to run for Prez, because after all, everyone expected him to be prez . . . not Dubya.

I found those remarks strange as well. It made no sense to me that people who did not evacuate, did not stock up on anything. I live in the mountains of VA, and due to possible terrorist attacks only, we have shelves in our basement with canned goods, bottles of water stacked up as well as batteries, flashlights, and hope to buy a small generator. Now we have no weather-related threats whatsoever; however, we don't know when we are lied to or told the truth by our government.

Also, Jeb's signature is on the mission statement of PNAC, so this man has a lot of work to do. Someone on that mission statement needs to get into an office of power to be able to take over the World and rule it.

Reading PNAC's agenda plus the things they have already done with the names involved really opened my eyes as to why we are at war now and why Dubya and Cheney (Cheney's signature on PNAC mission statement) will do anything to get their policies in motion.

6. The Insufferable Prick Said, "You were WARNED!"
He said that they should have used the warning period to stock up three days of water and whatever. Yip, that's a cuddly leader. Brace for him in the WH.
