Did this provide the media with some cajones?
Miles O'Brien is interviewing Ed Gillespie. He simply isn't allowing Ed to do his usual spin on the Miers thing. He is quite literally mocking him for trying to spin this in a positive way.

It's as shocking as anything else I've seen on teevee lately...a reporter asking tough questions of a GOP "operative." (Exactly what Miles called him).

2. He also stated:
"Ed, you're good at spin ... "

Jeff greenfield also pointed out that the timing may be related to expected indictments ... says Greenfield "this will make a good headline in the face of possible indictments...."

3. I usually do not watch
but tuned in to hear if indictments or a Fitz press conference was scheduled. John King was great pointing out exactly how this looks for Bush** so I left it on and was surprised by O'Brien as well.

I doubt it lasts long but it is nice to hear once in a while.

4. Jeff Greenfield took it one step further
After Gillespie signed off, there was a long pause. Greenfield kind of chuckled and said "he's good."

But then went on to blast Gillespie's cred even further, saying it is so obvious what he's trying to do. THEN he went on to say something to the effect of "Gillespie can say what he wants, but I don't think he's fooling anybody. There are indictments coming, and they want THIS story out there, to lance the boil. Keep the attention focused on something other than the other WH problems."
