On edit: thanks. LOL! That sure was some cliffhanger for a moment.

Don't we already know this? CNN is getting desperate.

5. There might be. News sources admit they really don't know anything.

What if all the reports have been wrong?

No Libby or Karl.
Just some second rank assistants?

Could be. No one seems to know.

4. CNN has said a lot about the investigation
So have the other media outlets. To this point, not a single thing they've said has been shown to be true. I don't see their luck changing today.

7. !! DAMN IT !!
I want him indicted for leaking.

Anything less has limited usefulness as it will be watered-down by the Repukes as a "technicality".

I disagree
While the leak is damaging national security....a Perjury charge has a life of its own with no end in sight.

The leak charge is a little murky based on the chain of events and perhaps not winnable.

Besides I would rather see Rove being sued by the Wilsons for intentional infliction of emotional distress. I goes to motications and then its off to the races and drags out for two years plus as the administration gets repeatedly called to testify and they try to assert national security and Executive privilege.

I want the world to see the level of stonewalling and conspiracy to stonewall to hide the facts about the war.

I am not sure the leak charge would get us where we want this to go.

I wonder if Bush try and keep Rove on staff because all he said was that he weould fire any one who had leaked a name. He later amended to say anyone who has broken the law. The only people he would have support from is his base.

10. Where do we want this to go?
I appreciate your thoughtful post and can see your point.

I want the leak charge because that's what will call attention to the admin's reckless policies.

With the leak charge, the country could begin recovery from these policies as the charges will call attention to just how bad these folks really are.

With the perjury charge, I expect it will get watered-down and twisted in the media. They've already started with the "if it's a technical charge, that's because the prosecutor was politically motivated and was just trying to trip the witnesses up" crap.

I'm with you in the sense that I'm happy to get all the political mileage we can out of this, though.
