Very troubling news today...
Due to the wide variances in forensic data collected from over 120 IED incidences we are now forced to concluded that many of the occurrences are not part of a centrally organized strategy but more likely the acts of individuals or non-al-Queda entities. We have forwarded our data to the Israelis, who in confidence, confirm that their analysis of all terrorist suicide attacks in-country Israel are also inconsistent... which means that private, non-organization associated entities are independently hiring IED emplacers or suicide bombers to carry our personal vendettas... probably the result of having a family member or loved one killed by us or, in the case of the Israeli attacks, an Israeli operation.
Make no mistake about it, this is a very important finding. This finding means that some, if not most, of the overall IED and suicide bomber attacks were not carried out by the groups whom our government, or the Israeli govt, is attributing 'credit' to, nor -- repeat nor -- factually accredited to any terrorist org that says they were responsible when in fact they were not but falsely claim credit to bolster their org's stance as a group that can carry out attacks. Of course, the White House has instructed us to report and exploit the organization angle because our CINC has required that we continue to assert that every incident is the product of organized terrorists. The Israelis concur. Most of us here do not because lying to the American people only increases wrong voting choices and wrong policies.
Today we arrested the wife of an innocent detainee who was -- unfortunately -- brutalized by a group of our Sadist MP's. The husband was fingered by a jealous neighbor in one of our atypical Usual Suspect roundups, savagely beaten and sexually humiliated in a variety of ways before our MPs castrated then executed him. The man's death was witnessed by several other inmates who were brought in for that purpose. Needless to say, they confessed to a variety of Sins... and I am sure that if they were asked about their involvement in the planning of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor many years before their births they would have confessed personal involvement in that episode as well.
Bottomline... many of the IED and other attacks occurring now are being committed by family members of men (or women) who our side did a number on. This is no longer a war against terrorism. This is a war against very angry people who's hatred was created because of the humiliation, terror or death we have inflicted on too, too any innocent people here.
I fear the deep hatred against us will only grow.
Someone here has assessed that this phenomenon which Abizaid refuses to accept probably began when our CINC personally authorized that cruise missile attack on that neighborhood restaurant early in the war that Tenet claimed was hosting a dinner party for Saddam. That missile struck in the heart of a populated community. Dozens of innocent people were killed, hundreds more were disabled for life... many were women and children who were permanently disfigured. The only thing we can compare this to is if George Bush ordered a cruise missile to hit a restaurant located in the middle in one of our cities without any regard for the innocent people in that restaurant or nearby... think about it, you're sitting in a McDonalds or Pizza Hut that suddenly turns into an oven of flames. Before losing consciousness you see your wife and children melt before your eyes... someone needs to explain to me how a President of the United States can order that kind of attack, knowing full well that innocent people will be instantly cremated. My West Point years never told me about any President in our country's history who gave that kind of civilian-toasting order. But, I suppose very little of this current president's record will be taught at The Point in any form of Lessons Learned, except a course in: What A CINC Must Not Do.
We're no longer in a war against terrorism, we're in a war of vengeance our CINC created. I suppose that I don't need to say that a war against terrorists is endable if all the terrorists are killed. But how do we kill thousands upon thousands of people who want revenge for the loss of a loved one???
I don't know the answer to that question. If anyone does I wish they'd tell us...
