For the people looking for everything today - remember Watergate?
It did not happen with the sudden indictment of all the principal parties like Haldeman and Erlichman. It was drip by drip. Indictment, plea, another indictment and then a plea, and another and another until they finally reached up the ladder to Haldeman & Erlichman and ultimately to Nixon (via impeachment).

Be patient.

2. OK.
Thanks for that. It is encouraging since I may not see everyone in handcuffs today that I would like to see.

4. We have only just begun
and I'm sure these bastard will pull plenty of stunts along the way. I think the purge is going to take about 2 years.

8. It is one thing to be brave and loyal before indictment
It is quite another when you are a Libby and suddenly cut off from all your pals, your security clearance revoked, no one calling you anymore, your old buddies treating you like you had the plague and all the while the picture in your mind of a jail cell and steel door clanging shut behind you. It does things to people that makes them start thinking more about their own survival.

5. Yep, Watergate was like that .... eventually
the Senate investigation brought bombshells.

The problem right now is that the Senate is controlled by Republicans.

Yesterday's report of Libby and Rove keeping information from the Senate Intelligence Committee should shake up even the Republicans!

Time will tell.

The Executive and Judicial branches were separate then.

10. Good point.
I'm hopeful that what breaks today will stir up more shit for Bush, but I'm okay with protracted investigation, further indictments, etc., all the way up to and beyond elections next year.

11. If the current prognostications are correct..
.. and we're going to see an indictment today PLUS a continuing investigation - well it doesn't get much better than that!
