1. Love the use of the word
"fundamentally".

It's so right on so many levels.

Fundamentalists.

Mmental/mentally.

and as in at it's very foundation.

2. no, based on the word "fundamentally"
grant and harding had extremely corrupt administrations, but it was just individuals here and there that got their hands into major cookie jars.

the banana republicans in power today are "fundamentally" corrupt in the sense that their entire philosophy of acquiring, maintaining, extending, and exerting power is deeply rooted in corrupt notions -- lying; cheating; circumventing laws; changing inconvenient laws; stacking courts, laws, judgeships, agencies in your political favor; cronyism; rewarding supporters with public funds; ruthlessly punishing anyone who crosses you with whatever power you have, however inappropriate; etc.

7. Well...
Noriega, Marcos, Duvalier, Pinochet, Hussein, Pol Pot (as another poster mentioned), Stalin, Suharto, Idi Amin, the house of Saud, the S.A. apartheid regimes, the late-20th-century Italian kleptocracies, and I'm sure there are a few others I'm not thinking of right now. As abysmal as Shrub has been, he's still not quite as bad as those guys... yet.

But, none of those are American. The fact that we're even comparing the government of my country to those guys saddens me to no end, and shows just how bad things have gotten. Of American administrations, only those of Nixon and Reagan come close, but only time will tell whether Shrub will exceed the standards of political corruption they've set.

13. Has anyone taken away as many rights?
When you steal an election, you end democracy, is there a worse crime you can commit ON AMERICA?

How many rights have we lost vs. other presidents?

Has any other administration so blatently created a caste system?

I vote this administration the absolute most corpulant (sp) corrupt administration ever. Under their hand we have gone from a democracy to fascism.

16. Not even the Harding administration was this corrupt
At the end of the day...

Harding's corruption didn't kill one soldier.
Harding's corruption didn't breed one terrorist.
Harding's corruption didn't hand the entire nation over to Billy Sunday.

Warren G. Harding was a scumbag, but he wasn't Bush. Bush is in a class all by himself.
