10. The reasons I don't like it
1) It makes Fitzgerald an object of partisans (our side/their side) when it should be impartial. If we're going to use the investigations, indictments, and trial as ammunition and proof then we need to keep the process impartial for it to have credibility. The WH/GOP and publicon leaders are going to start chargine that Fitzgerald is a lefty and use us as a "see Look here!" to support that charge.

2) It's the grand jury that decides on indictments. Yes, Fitzgerald made the case and ran the investigation but ultimately it is the grand jury. No different than DeLay's claims of a Democrat going after him because he's a "winner"...it's the grand jury that indicted DeLay.

3) Fitzgerald should not be the focus. Crime, corruption, and conspiracy in the White House should be the number one thing we push as the subject.

13. My reply
"1) DU does not define who is or is not impartial, nor do we direct the nation's focus on anything. I think you have delusions of grandeur there."

I have no illusions or delusions of grandeur. Show me where I said DU defines who is or is not impartial. "We" is relative to Democrats, not specifically DU.

"2) So what? It's fucking HUMOR. Grow up."
I am grown up.

4. Strained unfunny pun, making us duped giddy children by analogy.
What's to like? It's sports page headline type of pun, meaning not clever or funny, and by analogy makes us giddy children rather than adults.

And by the way, what's more annoying than a child who won't stop asking when Christmas is coming, when will it get here, does Santa know what I want? I can't believe DUers draw the analogy between that and themselves.

7. i think it sums up the anticipation VERY well...
...plus, what other "easy" name should we give it?

#1 with all the BUllSHit thats been going on in this country in the past 5 years, its nice to lighten the mood.

#2 everyone always complains when you talk about "plame-gate" saying that its "framing wrong" or something. The fact is no one really knows what to call it because no one knows whats really going on behind those closed doors.

This is the easiest and most fun way to really sum up the way we ALL are feeling.... anxious.

doesn't detract in my opinion; it feels good and is overdue.

15. It's infantile, and obnoxious
It leads me to wonder whether everyone was making noises with their tongues during the Alger Hiss trial.

read any posts that mention Fitzmas. I only read this one because it seemed like a opporutnity to express my opnion about it.

18. I think it's funny and goofy and provides comic relief.
Anyone, from Rush to fellow DUers, who thinks that we're at all serious about this Fitzmas thing needs to have a humor transplant.

We're having fun with this. Who gives a fuck if Rush or some talking head repeats it? I thought we were the party without the boards stuck up our asses..
