One of the purposes for a free press is to watchdog public officials, to ensure their honesty, to expose their lies, to alert the public to their misdeeds.

In not revealing ALL of this, the media has failed in the performance of their purpose. If they are to be livid, they must also be livid at themselves.

What we are witnessing right now is the MSM struggling to expose this story without exposing themselves.

Well it's not as if Tweety, Potatohead and Mrs. Greenspan and a "laundry list" of media types didn't know all about it first hand. But every week they just chat about it and repeat talking points as if all they knew about it was what they heard other media heads report.

it is now OUR job to get the news, make sense of it together and then spread the information to others... i hope someday we can get the media to do its job, and investigate not just reprint what they are told!!
