David Boies Advocates Sweeping it Under the Rug
Edited on Fri Oct-28-05 06:19 PM by AntiFascist
On CNN's Lou Dobbs broadcast, just now, trial attorney David Boies (as you'll remember the trial attorney who represented Gore/Lieberman in the 2000 election recount fiasco) argues that NO ONE wants to see the CIA leak case brought to trial because too many bad things would be brought to light and this would ultimately be damaging to America. Perhaps this reflects the thinking in Washington D.C. that there is so much necessary evil lurking below the surface of our current administration that we need to just ignore it and go about our merry ways, after all, the economy is doing well isn't it? :sarcasm:

I'm sure this must come as comforting reassurance to all those who support the troops, where sacrifices are made daily with killings and dismemberment, to know that this is truly what we are fighting for in America: deception and putting forth a false facade to prop up our leadership for at least another three years.

Edit: whoops!

3. OMG. Doesn't that explain alot. Thanks a heckuva lot. No faith.
I believe in God the infinite is who will see to it that all of our little miniscule lives will matter to the extent that we do something worthwhile in them.

And that which tips the hands of destiny as it hovers between order and chaos, allowing the tiny butterfly lives to Make.A.Difference.

And which prefers light to darkness.

So if the truth comes out, it WILL be better.

And I also think that Jung was right in that whatever is suppressed will keep haunting you and erupting and making itself known in one way or another.

5. For quite a few people, keeping up
the facade of democracy is more important than the process.

Would someone tell Boise than the world already no longer buys the bullspit and it will take men like Fitzgerald to repair the system. Clean it up and mash down the liars and the lies. Then and only then will the US be an example to the world.

Where is he on the violation of the Geneva convention, on torture and genocide. Stop the fugging coverup and clean up the mess.

6. The same attorney that told...
Gore to only contest the election in Dem counties, thus making it look like he was the one trying to pull a fast one. Gore wanted a statewide recount, and that would have been the right, fair way to do it. In other words, Fuck off boies!

7. Boies made a few elementary mistakes in representing Gore
I'm know law scholar, but I know a little bit of logic.

8. I saw that and could have screamed! That's why we are in the shape we're
in. This administration has been allowed to sweep everything under the rug, mostly TRUTH! This was sickening and he should be ashamed of himself for saying that. What a loser. Gore should have picked a better attorney.

9. I believe our country is stronger than that.
The day that our country needs fear exposing the crimes of thieves and criminals is the day we have abdicated our right to exist.

10. Hasn't he learned anything from the past 5 years?
The whole "just let it go because it would be damaging to America" approach has been pretty well disproven, I'd say. I'll bet he was one of the ones "fooled" by Bush about Iraq, too.

At least half of the people in the United States, and almost every single person outside the United States already sees the "bad things." The whole point is to get the ignorant, gullible, enablers of the Bush Regime, in the United States, to see the "bad things" before we are all way beyond totally screwed.

Man, Gore had some idiots around him back in 2000.

11. no wonder he was on CNN - they know who to call
Karl probably provides guest lists for both sides.

now, I wonder who advised Al to use
David "don't count all the votes" Boies?
Donna "I Will Rebuild With You, Mr. President" Brazile?
Joe "kiss me again, George, with feeling" Lieberman?
Al "rightwing seed money" From?
~just pondering~
