11. I think that was to throw the WHIG's off the scent of the hunter.
I have no doubt he genuinely feels that way, but I have a feeling prosecutors have to be good actors at times, especially when his prey happens to be a powerful, wily cabal.

10. Today's press conference about Libby's 5 indictments
was a chess move meant to put pressure on Libby to provide the information Fitzgerald needs.

I have a good feeling about what was said & wasn't said during the press conference. Fitzgerald seemed careful about not giving any strategic information, & his guardedness tells me the investigation is not over.

As for his comment about this case not being about the war: Because he doesn't have the critical evidence he is seeking, it was probably meant to provide the WHIG's with a false sense of security. We know that he has sought the Niger forgery document, so we know that he has been looking into this administration's pre-war scheming.
