Is Fitzmas over?
Or is it today?

Or some day in my future?

Today's my birthday and I've heard people with birthdays near Fitzmas get a bum rap.

1. Happy Birthday!
 :toast:

Dunno, my sister and I were born on the same day (March 18) seven years apart. My parents could only afford one expensive present once a year...bicycle vs. new blouse and socks. It was like having a BD every other year. All my childhood trauma stems from this, yeah that's it.

No, Fitzmas isn't over! The indictment of Libby is a "stocking stuffer"; more to come! (I hope!) Hope you have a great day!

3. Thanks! I AM having a great birthday so far
Went out on my first third date since 2000. Fourth date today!

I suspect she's a 2000 Nader voter, but we live in the state of Wellstone, so I guess that's OK ...

5. Happy Birthday!
This is far from over. I live in Illinois, and I have watched Fitz work.

This 'Official A' stuff is very familiar to us. We heard about Oficial A for two years before former Governor Ryan was identified as Official A and charged. It actually took Fitz about four years to bring the whole mess to light.

It did not start out as a Get Ryan investigation. They were investigating a license for bribes scandal.

Ryan's trial is supposed to be over in January. He is on trial because someone sentenced for perjury turned and became a federal witness, after 66 indictments.

The scandal in Illinois has screwed the republican party here. It will take years for them to recover. Fitz will work diligently, no matter how long it takes. The Plame scandal could hang over them through 2006, and 2008. We may be able to take back our country. And maybe, for awhile, only honest republicans will dare to run for office. I believe there are still some out there. And we do need a two-party system. Who knows? Maybe the few honest republicans will form a third party.

This could be the twelve days of Fitzmas. It could be the twelve months of Fitzmas, or the four years of Fitzmas. You will have many more presents to open.

6. One question worth considering
is what are you going to do with the present that was delivered yesterday? Of course, that goes for all of us. Are we going to sit and stew that someone else should be doing the work to save us from the monstor administration, or are we all going to examine what Fitzgerald delivered yesterday, and work with it.

8. From his press conference
Pertaining to the 1917 Espionage Act, he said one must be careful "what case" it's applied to.

Seems he may have had a case other than Libby's in mind.

9. Indeed
we have too many anxious and uninformed people here who fail to see the enormous significance of what transpired yesterday. It's only the beginning.

17. After All, The Football Game Doesn't End After The First Half
after you score big, and take out a key player... you have to be willing to work hard in the second half... and target the opposition quaterback's knee.

18. We need sound-bites
What are they hiding?

Why would they lie about the CIA?

How could they forget talking about a female James Bond type of agent?

What did Cheney - Libby's boss - have to do with all this?

Don't tell me they all just forgot. It's like telling me they have alzheimers. The WH does not have alzheimers. Do they?

7. A parallel may be.... imagine if you had to inform the public that
aliens have been living on earth for a few hundreds/thousands of years in our midst.

You wouldn't want to shock the collective psyche of the world without softening them up first with all sorts of research and the like in order to "break it to them gently".

Perhaps Fitz knows how the country would react to the shock of seeing all the kings men go down all at once... I know this is wrong, but I wish it becomes the truth of it... a fella can wish, can't he??

10. I've been predicting ...
two rounds of indictments: the first for perjury/obstruction of justice, and once facts are sussed out transparently, the second for the actual leek.

From what happened yesterday, I could still be on track: maybe Libby will plead guilty to one count and cooperate with the investigation,

11. Fitzmas has just begun.
Libby has yet to squeal. I don't think Libby is ready to do 30 years.

This will get very interesting. Happy Birthday!

16. You lucky Elk!
You have something to remember on your birthday that is good: It's also the birthday of the downfall of the bush crime family.

For some of us our birthday is also the anniversary of an invasion of a foreign country.

You should be so lucky. Peace
