What if Joe Wilson sues Rove
Edited on Tue Nov-01-05 01:07 PM by 59millionmorons
What if Joe Wilson sues Rove, wouldn't this force Cheney to testify even if Scooter plea bargains? Didn't Clinton's testimony in the Paula Jones case open up any member of the WH to be forced to testify.
So even if Fitz doesn't charge Rove, Wilson can still sue Rove and keep the story alive. You know a nice little law suit around October of 2006.

13. Yes, because during the discovery phase, they would be able to subpoena
lots and lots of people and ask all sorts of interesting questions.

4. Not sure
But last night Wolfie asked Wilson if he was planning on suing Rove. Wilson said nothing was decided on yet. Whisch I read as, yes he will be sooner or later suing Rove.

12. Joe has standing too
Both he and Valerie were directly harmed. To begin with, do you think Joe will ever be able to travel abroad again? How about their kids?

If even half the shit comes out this case could be lititgated civilly on numerous fronts from IIED (Intentional Infliction of Emotional Distress) to violation of civil rights. There are also punitive damges. Heck, Joe might even be able to go after them on his own under a whistleblower statute.

8. I'm pretty sure they would have to testify in a civil case.
The SCOUTS ruled that Clinton had to.

9. Not only that....
he gets all the documents in "discovery." A civil suit could bring down the whole house of cards, regardless of who Fitz indicts...of course, people still have the option of remaining silent---but, I would love to see Cheney on the stand asserting his 5th amendment rights.....that would put the nail in the coffin.
