Furthermore, does that mean that if I find myself in front of a judge that I have the right to look through his personal political donations to make sure that he is in line with my political beliefs? This is bullshit.
2. I don't like the idea that a judge can be removed just because
he supports a certain political party. It's insulting to all judges because their position requires them to be impartial and leave their personal biases out of their decisions. On the other hand, the recusal of this judge might be better in the long run because if DeLay eventually is convicted, he won't be able to blame it on the judge's politics.
