2. Nicely put.
"It's like a case of vehicular homicide: Did Bush and his goons hit Plame on purpose or was it an accident? Either way, I want them off the road."

Well said.

6. "It's like a case of vehicular homicide: Did Bush and his Goons let 9/11
happen on purpose or did they let it happen through incompetence? Either way, I want them off the road."

Wow, that analogy comes in handy in all kinds of ways!

10. Oh yeah. And more people, at least around here, are starting to wonder
about what really happened on 9/11. I've been in the MIHOP camp for some time, but others are just now joining now that they realize that there is no lower limit to the depths to which these people will sink to get what they want:

thread title (11/2): I'm Finally MIHOP for 9-11

Actually a very interesting thread.

4. When the first line is this
"Bush-Cheney Traitors Deserve Prison, Impeachment."

You know it's going to be good.

5. I like the closing!
"It's like a case of vehicular homicide: Did Bush and his goons hit Plame on purpose or was it an accident? Either way, I want them off the road."

Yeah!

Even though I believe the Plame hit was on purpose, this may be an effective line for those people who've not been closely following this investigation, and undecided on where to place blame. You don't have to be a bush hater to conclude there are just too many mistakes and MAJOR fiascos under this sad administration.

Either way, I want them off the road!

Bush and Cheney. But he wrote it before the Senate shutdown by Reid, or he wouldn't have said this:

"Democrats, snatching defeat from the jaws of victory as usual, say they'll settle for an apology. "

I wonder what he thinks of the events of yesterday? One thing he probably thinks - i know I do - is that this sudden insistence on truth and fighting spirit is coming very late indeed. Not that I'm not glad to finally see it make an appearance.

13. He mentions Bush's 'innocent till proven guilty' hypocrisy
I like this part:

"In our system," Bush reminded, "each individual is presumed innocent and entitled to due process and a fair trial." Unlike the thousands of people Bush tossed into prison after 9/11--without charges or access to a lawyer--Libby is a rich guy with pale skin. He gets to confront his accusers.

rottenness is profound, going to the very core of our justice system, our whole government.

BIGGER THAN WATERGATE

By Ted Rall

Bush-Cheney Traitors Deserve Prison, Impeachment

URBANA, ILLINOIS--To weigh the outing of CIA agent Valerie Plame against historical standards, consider that no leader of the Soviet Union--including that master of ruthlessness, Josef Stalin--ever arranged for the name of a KGB operative to appear in a newspaper. Adolf Hitler had countless millions murdered, yet getting at a political enemy by endangering agents of the Sicherheitsdienst, the Nazi intelligence service, didn't cross his mind. In this respect, not even the worst tyrants have stooped to the level of George W. Bush.

Don't let the Republicans distract you. Treasongate isn't just about deposed vice presidential chief of staff Scooter Libby, who has been charged with five felony counts and faces 30 years in prison, or even deputy presidential chief of staff Karl Rove, who may soon be charged as well. The Libby charges clearly point to the real culprit: Dick Cheney, who told Libby about Plame's covert status in the first place. Cheney abused his security clearance to find out. "Libby understood that the vice president had learned this information from the C.I.A.," reads page five of the indictment.

(snip)

"One can believe that the neocons are utterly wrong without also assuming that they are evil," Nicholas Kristof argues in a Times op-ed. But people willing to lie their country into war and stab the people who protect it in the back--if we're to believe them, by not bothering to check Plame's status--are evil.

It's like a case of vehicular homicide: Did Bush and his goons hit Plame on purpose or was it an accident? Either way, I want them off the road.

The original has links to many important documenting articles. The parts that I left out have many gems. He BLASTS the New York Times for its craven complicity, calling it "a paper known for its desire to be helpful to the Bush White House" and Judith Miller the "disgraced Times reporter/Bush stenographer."

From the subtitle, he wants not only impeachment but PRISON for Bush and Cheney. They can have adjoining cells in the Neocon wing:

The Bushies must be hoping the avian flu arrives soon. Then people will be distracted and he can finally declare martial law and dump the pesky critics in Congress.

17. My fave quote was this sorta subtle backhand to NYT.
"Democrats, snatching defeat from the jaws of victory as usual, say they'll settle for an apology. The media is equally accommodating. "The Wilson affair is not Watergate," wrote Todd S. Purdum in the New York Times, a paper known for its desire to be helpful to the Bush White House. He's right. Treasongate is worse."

I loved how it was just kind of sandwiched in there... also a good warning to the Dems not to just accept an apology on this one. It is much to serious for that, first we try the shit heads here in an American court of law and then we rendition them to the Hague. Everybody should get a few whacks at these ideologue pinatas of insanity.

gang and family that the real "moral values" holder would finally stand up...but then again, could they throw the first rock?
