FoxNews calls Senator Reid's move a "stunt"...
Edited on Wed Nov-02-05 12:49 PM by 11 Bravo
on the front page of their web site. It didn't take those whores long to get with the program, did it? I sent the following:

Well, I see it didn't take the always fair and balanced FoxNews crew long to start spinning the closed Senate session according to Republican talking points. Right there on the front page of the FNC web site Senator Harry Reid's action is referred to as a "stunt", that being, of course, the Republican appelation for the completely legal and not without precedent move.
It's funny, the Senate rules have NEVER been changed to disallow a filibuster, but that's not a "stunt". Oh, no, that's the "Constitutional option". And when George Bush made his midnight dash back to Washington to inject himself into Terry Schiavo's death, it was a principled move, never a "stunt". And, of course, when Bill Frist diagnosed Miss Schiavo by viewing a few minutes of videotape, it was the action of a concerned and compassionate man, certainly not a "stunt".
It has long been obvious that FNC holds Democrats and Progressives in exceedingly low esteem. But what is becoming increasingly apparent is the contempt in which you hold your regular, hard-core, true believers. You appear satisfied that there is no approach too inconsistent, and no bias too obvious for them to ever notice, and thus perhaps begin to wonder if they are hearing the truth. You have truly found your niche in the "news' business.
Sincerely,

3. Kick ass!!
And well done. Faux is just a piehole for neocon propaganda. Their couching of events in arbitrary descriptive terms works to sway a lot of sheeple, unfortunately.

We must never stop giving them the what-for. Keep it up!

4. good letter
the way you worded it, they might think you are one of their regular conservative viewers who has awakened. It has got to make them nervous. Maybe they'll decide it isn't a good idea to show Frist whining all day today.

9. What does Fox call all the GOP manuevering?
Kills me...the most discourteous leaders in history whine when dems use rules to insist on their voices being heard. On the other hand, GOP has gone out of their way to be bastards:

Sending dems down to small basement rooms for hearings

Sensenbrenner illegally shutting down committee hearing when he hears something he doesn't like

GOP holding all-pug majority behind the scenes meetings to discuss legislation, knowing the dems vote doesn't really count

Lack of "advise and consent" actions in the judicial nominations process

Delay illegally using terrorist threats to track Texas dems on flights out of town

10. Must mean they struck a nerve.

The repukes in congress are extremely pissed at this. More so than just a 'stunt' could provoke. They are forced now to explain why there are not continuing the investigation and/or it will look like they are in on it. Their reaction tells more than any spin they try to put on it. If it was just a stunt they would be making fun of it and demeaning it.
