After reading the hate mail

on the Home Page - at least the first few, I have a sensitive stomach - and wondering about the writers' obsessiveness with bodily functions , I had to pause..

Do any liberals or DUers send similar emails to the other side? freeperville or whatever other websites they have?

Yes, the Internet provide the blessed anonymity and the keyboard-happy immediate, unedited response. But, really, besides getting high from instant gratification for "sticking it to them," it just shows the misery of the writers, really. They have nothing better to do in their lives but to search for places and opinions that offend them and then charge with both barrels.

That our side doesn't do that. I have never even registered at one of those other sites. Once in a great while I will look at FR or Drudge, but I wouldn't waste my time writing an email to a bunch of neanderthals like that.

It's incredible how much hatred these people spew. And they insist that the Dems are full of hatred.

I think they're all sick.

I would on occasion click on the link to freeperville that was posted here and barely stayed there for a few seconds. The people are so sick and so full with hatred that I had to escape as an act of self-preservation.

I know that it is important to know what the other side thinks, but, personally, I'd rather read it after it has been distilled through, yes, the MSM. Also for practical matter. I doubt that any opinion of Frist, Rove et al. is being influenced by such posts.

Speaks to their mental age, I guess.

I look at the internet as a large mirror-what I say may well be reflected in many different websites and other places (if you've ever googled your username, you know what I mean). Since I don't like the behavior exhibited in the hate mail, I try my best not to indulge in it myself-otherwise I would be a hypocrite.

Not worth my time, frankly.

Although I did spar with a RW nut on the web not long ago and I did call him a 'self loathing homosexual'. It was mean of me, but he was so awful, I couldn't stand it.

explosive anal discharge all through those love letters. I have no idea how those people get so broken, but I think it's a choice to have an angry lifestyle like that and I don't think they should be allowed to marry or adopt.

Well, like poop flinging monkeys, DU does get its share of guests who would have more fun at someone else's party.

One of those "I just wanted to stir things up" emails just made me want to bust out laughing. I have some advice for them. If you want to stir something up, walk into an airport and yell bomb. Or walk onto DU and tell everyone you're a freeper. It's the same effect - the admins tombstoned your hateful ass for YOUR protection, not ours.

who can hold a civilized debate. But, I suppose, it is against the mission of DU and, I guess, there are thousands of other message boards where people of all shape and form can debate or, at least, try to debate without resorting to name calling.

Of course, I have tried to post on a local RW blog and got banned so now they just cheer each other, the good ol' groupthink.

I do not trawl conservative sites and try to become a member, or send their administrators hate mail when they figure me out, because I just do not have the time. I would rather try to talk to people with whom I have some prayer of communicating.

It's crossed my mind to troll over there, but really feel no need to, plus I would get kicked off as soon as I pointed out the holes in their "logic" such as in their thread about "When would George Washington Leave" or something, and they discussed how GW would fight til his last breath, followed by a bunch of chest beating.

What they fail to notice, of course, is that he was fighting for his own freedom, that he was an insurgent.
