Republicans plan to kill off millions of Americans ...
Edited on Thu Nov-03-05 09:42 PM by NVMojo
what else would be the goals of their budget cuts?

They are the ones overspending in Iraq and other greed projects related to corporate cronies. They are pushing the rich tax cuts and the poor program cuts at the same time. They are not doing a fecking thing to create jobs besides minimum wage ones. They pushed stopping bankruptcy for people but protecting bankruptcy for corporations. They are not assisting with a sound healthcare strategy that protects all Americans. They push for profit healthcare companies with stockholders. They want to interfere with a woman's right to chose yet turn around and cut child support funds. I could go on ...

5. And if they were truly COMPASSIONATE, they would
hand out free syringes and notes on how to use them to those millions.

But apparently we, unlike death row inmates, don't get a quick and painless death.

It's quite a dehumanizing indignity, isn't it?

Rape and kill and you get a cozy death.

Lose your job and you're pissed on, called a lazy do-nothing, and slowly starve, dehydrate, and rot to death. Nice.

6. Just how does cutting the budget kill millions of Americans
Edited on Thu Nov-03-05 09:23 PM by Poppyseedman
Not defending their policies, but maybe a little over the top???

Maybe the goals are to be fiscally responsible

Personally, I think I pay enough in taxes. I just wish it went to the places it needs to go, instead to corporate welfare

10. I'm afraid your comment that this is a bit over the top
is a lone voice of sanity in this link. Perfect example of self-destructive behavior.

11. No one wants to pay more taxes - what we ask is that our
government is, dare I say it?

PRUDENT!!

Despite being a catch-phrase of George H.W. Bush, the fact remains is that billions of our tax money is going to fund Halliburton and Bechtel in Iraq (they're skimping on our servicemen and women) and there's no money to take care of our own.

That's the rub, you see, to make us all subservient to the lords of corporations.

7. Their goal is to create a poverty so severe that it will be equal or
worse than the chattel slavery of our founders.

Their goal is to bring us equal to income levels of third world countries for the greater profits of a few.

Their goal is to operate a world military that will willingly work (kill and die) for corporations and be guinea pigs for new military toys and weapons.

Sorry for the bluntness.

THE CHILDREN OF THE WORLD WANT PEACE.

8. every policy is designed to up both the birth and death rates--
massive poverty, combined with competition and environmental devastation, will turn Earth into a cesspool with the superrich riding as foam on a wave, living in space and fortified estates. They are not afraid of us if we live and act on their terms and whim.

16. I think it's just greed. They have to keep us poor folk around
to mow the lawns and clean the toilets. It won't be surprising to see a whole lot of needy people freeze to death this winter, though.

17. I'm reading The Grapes of Wrath
It's just heartbreaking what the big landowners and banks did not 100 years ago. The big growers in California sent out fliers to the desperate poor throughout the country promising good wages. When they got the workers there, there was little work and the farmers had a big pool of starving people who spat upon and called Oakies and forced to compete with other starving folks driving down wages to next than nothing. Some worked for food they bought from the company store and ended up owing money at the end of the week. Despite all this, they had to watch their children die from malnutrition.

The greediest farmers conspired to build canneries and dropped Frito prices to next to nothing at harvest time, so low that medium-sized farmers couldn't even afford to harvest their fruit so the big boys bought their property, too. . . and then they sent out more fliers.

Make no mistake, the big players make killings off the suffering of others and benefit from economic downturns. Depression is a good thing. It returns money to its rightful owners, right?
